A holiday home with a very good location and only a short walk away from the fine sandy beach. Proximity to Mellbystrand center and an appreciated nature area. A spacious, fenced plot with large terrace areas and a practical outdoor kitchen. There is space for all the family's activities. A holiday paradise.
From the entrance you enter a small hall and straight ahead is the spacious bathroom with washing machine. To the left you have a small dining area and a well-equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed and the tasteful living room has comfortable furniture, modern smart TV with chromecast and a DVD (many movies on the bookshelf). There is also a lovely wood burning stove for a little chilly evenings.
From the kitchen and from the living room there is access to a very beautiful and spacious glazed conservatory with dining table and sitting area. The room can be opened around when the summer days get hot. Right next door is an annex with a family bunkbed and a single bed. From the guest cottage there is a separate entrance at the back of the cottage to the bathroom, very practical. The terrace is spacious and contains both an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and refrigerator as well as comfortable outdoor furniture. On hot days, the patio at the back is a shady and comfortable oasis.
Only a short walk or bike ride will take you to the lovely beach. Nearby is also Hökarfältet's fine exercise facility with both barbecue areas, outdoor gym and sauna. At a convenient distance is Mellbystrand's summer center with several restaurants, small shops and the Strandhotellet. Just south you reach Skummeslövstrand and then the Bjäre Peninsula with all its picturesque summer villages and not least Båstad, the wonderful tennis metropolis.
To the north you can easily reach Halmstad with its fantastic beaches in Tylösand, its large range of entertainment and all golf courses. Why not pay a visit to the small town of Laholm with its beautiful location by Lagan. The city has a cozy center with small shops, cafes and restaurants. Here, Lagan winds around the city and there is fine salmon fishing and a smokehouse with a restaurant.
In winter, you have Vallåsen's ski resort a short drive away. On Hallandsåsen there are also several wonderful hiking trails. For those interested in golf, there are many golf courses in the area. The closest is Laholms Gk.
A true summer paradise! Halland offers lovely beaches, beautiful nature, charming towns and good shopping. Kungsbacka has a small town feel yet still offers a wide selection of shops and restaurants. There are many great deals to be found in the Freeport shopping centre in Kungsbacka. A journey through historic grandeur awaits at Tjolöholm, a castle built in Tudor style at the end of the 19th century.
The area's fantastic shallow sandy beaches are the main attraction for many visitors during the summer period. The most popular beaches in Halland are Tylösand, Mellbystrand, Skreastrand and Apelviken.
Varberg, the pearl of Sweden's west coast, is a popular tourist destination in the area. Many Swedes visit Varberg for a holiday or a long weekend break. Varberg offers lovely beaches, an exciting historical fortress and a lively market around the small town square. Apelviken, the largest of the beaches, is one of Europe's best locations for windsurfing and kitesurfing, so put your board under your arm and enjoy the action!
In 2018, Falkenberg received the "Worth a Visit" award in White Guide! In other words, great food is yet one more reason to visit fantastic Falkenberg.
Falkenberg has no less than 15 km of sandy beaches, offering everything from the popular Skreastrand beach, with its activities and After Beach entertainment, to quiet inlets where bathers can enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.
There are more than 500 lakes and many nice rivers in Halland. In other words, canoeing is a popular attraction in the area. So why not paddle up the Nissan rIver or go fishing for salmon in the Ätran rIver, a popular salmon fishing location. If you feel like going on an exciting sea fishing trip, you can hop on board in Falkenberg harbour.
A number of cycling and hiking trails wind their way through Halland. One tip for an active family day out is to hike a couple of sections of the Hallandsleden trail, or to hop on your bikes and ride a stretch of the Cykelspåret cycling trail.
A visit to the Gekås superstore in Ullared, Sweden's most visited shopping centre, is an absolute must! On the way there or back you can also stop at the Ätran river, a popular salmon fishing spot.
Halmstad is a popular destination during the summer, although there is also plenty to do and see in the city during the winter, with a wide selection of stores, restaurants and bars. There are a number of nice beaches in the area, the most popular of which is probably Tylösand. "Wonderland" is a popular playground attraction for families with children.
Laholm is a charming little town close to the well-known coastal resorts of Mellbystrand and Skummeslövstrand. The Lagan river is the best recreational fishing location for salmon and trout fishing. On the Hallandsås horst you can enjoy walking in the lovely beech woods. In the winter, Laholm is Sweden's southernmost ski resort.

The midsummer party in Sweden is truly unique. To many it is a symbol of the lightness, the light and the life force symbolic of the Nordic summer. Midsummer in Sweden is the biggest celebration of solstice in Scandinavia.
When the most Swedish of Swedish parties approach, the whole country is exited. Midsummer is traditionally a feast celebrated with family and friends, but if you are a tourist you are welcome to join the festivities. It is celebrated all over the country - by the coast, in the skerries, by idyllic lakes, in the mountains or one of the islands. All is good, as long as there is plenty of pristine and diverse nature around.
Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.
On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.
If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.
Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.
On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.
All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.
On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.
All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.
We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.
While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.
If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
