Antje - Bremen  (Familienurlaub mit Kindern, October 2019)
What did you especially like about the holiday house?
“Das Haus hat genug Abstand zu den Nachbarn und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Wohn- Esszimmer ist riesig und hat einen schönen Blick nach draußen. Dagegen sind die Schlafräume etwas klein geraten. Die Küche ist praktisch mit dem Tresen zum Esstisch hin. Das Haus ist im großen und Ganzen gut ausgestattet. Bei den Kochtöpfen hätte ich mir etwas bessere Qualität gewüscht (sie wurden sehr heiß).”
Recommendations for future guests

About Ostholstein

Holiday at the German Baltic Sea

Dreamy sandy beaches stretching for kilometres, pleasant coastal towns and lively celebrations – Lubeck Bay in Ostholstein offers everything you need for a wonderful holiday. The ideal surroundings to help you forget the stresses of everyday life can be found by the water in the seaside resorts of Grömitz, Scharbeutz and Großenbrode.

Lubeck Bay is a paradise for a holiday home break with the whole family. Countless leisure activities and the hustle and bustle of the beaches and promenades offer relaxation, discovery and exploration. Museums, concerts, theatre performances and open air events right on the beach take place regularly. For families, the amusement park by the sea in Sierksdorf is certainly the main attraction. Cycling, hiking, golfing and water sports are also very popular in the region.

Holiday home at Lubeck Bay

Our holiday homes on Lubeck Bay are versatile and offer something for all tastes. They all possess a modern, Scandinavian and somewhat maritime character. In Grömitz and Großenbrode there are classic Scandinavian holiday homes, often equipped with a sauna and whirlpool. In Scharbeutz, you will find slightly smaller holiday homes in two beautiful locations. You can also rent holiday apartments in Großenbrode from DanCenter, some of which have a wonderful sea view.

Tips for an affordable holiday at Lubeck Bay

  • Go in low-season. The prices are significantly cheaper than in high-season and the arrival and departure days are flexible.
  • Make use of the full capacity of the holiday home. Whether you're travelling as a couple or a group of 4, the price doesn't change so long as the holiday home offers enough space. That means the cost per person is cheapest when all beds are filled.
  • Look out for offers and discounts. If we reduce the price of our holiday homes for a set period of time, you can be among the first to find out in our newsletter or on social media.
  • Travel from Saturday to Saturday Even if your arrival and departure dates are flexible and you can't stay as long as one week, the daily price is cheapest when you book for 7 days.

Short holidays at the Baltic Sea

The holiday homes at Lubeck Bay are best suited to spontaneous short trips by the sea. You can reach them in only 1–1.5 hrs drive from Hamburg. If you can't find what you're looking for at Lubeck Bay, take a look at our holiday homes at the Bay of Kiel or Gelting Bay to see if they're right for you.

About Schleswig-Holstein

The Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast: mudflat walking and surfing

Schleswig-Holstein's North Sea coast offers an impressive natural landscape in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea national park. From the mouth of the elbe in the south to the Danish border in the north, these are the largest mudflats in the world. There are four islands in the Wadden Sea and around ten small Halligen islands. On the islands of Sylt, Amrum, Föhr and Pellworm you can find cosy holiday apartments and holiday homes where you can make yourself comfortable. Go mudflat walking, ideally with a tour guide, and walk across the tideland to one of the Halligen islands. Enjoy a traditional "Pharisäer" – coffee with rum.

Sankt Peter-Ording on the Eiderstedt peninsula boasts the longest beach in Germany, with a twelve kilometre-long and as much as two kilometer-wide beach. Run across the long bridge to the beach and take a look at the natural salt marshes on the coast. The beach's landmarks include pile houses, which are home to cafés, among other things. Kite surfers, surfers and other water sports enthusiasts will find the conditions perfect for their sport of choice. Have you ever tried land sailing or driving a kite buggy?
