About the holiday home

Experience the tranquility of this cozy cottage, situated on a sunny plot with outdoor seating areas around the property, allowing you to choose between sun or shade depending on the weather.

It's about a 15-minute walk down to Lake Furusjön, where during the summer, there's a small kiosk selling ice cream, candy, and more. By the lake, you'll also find two small nature reserves, Stora Bräcke and Lilla Bräcke. Upon entering the cottage, you'll find a newly built veranda area with plenty of space for clothes and shoes. There’s a spacious and bright kitchen with a dining area by the window, which leads into the living room where you can relax in a comfortable sofa corner and watch TV. The bedroom has a double bed, and the tiled bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. Two additional sleeping places are available in the guest house, located just a few meters from the main house, where there is a sofa bed that easily converts into two beds. There’s also the option for an extra bed suitable for a child or teenager. To keep the property’s authenticity, built in the early 1900s style, there is also a newly built outdoor toilet on the grounds.

Explore the area around Ånimskog, which offers visitors many lovely excursion destinations. Lake Vänern is about a 15-minute drive away, and Tösse Archipelago is worth a visit. In the summer, a ferry departs from Åmål's harbor to the islands. If you continue another 10 minutes north, you’ll reach Värmland.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
