About Holmsland Klit

Holmsland Klit is the long and narrow isthmus sheltering Ringkøbing Fiord from the North Sea. This dune is about 40 kilometers long and 1-2 kilometers wide. This exceptional piece of Denmark between the North Sea and Ringkøbing Fiord is characterized by high dunes, heather areas and green meadows.

In the middle of it all you have Hvide Sande, and here you will find the only lock in Ringkøbing Fiord. Hvide Sande is a holiday resort with endless, white beaches and a lovely holiday atmosphere, especially during summer time. Do you want to go fishing or windsurfing – or do you prefer a nice walk or a bike ride? In Hvide Sande it is not easy to choose among the many exciting activities.

South of Ringkøbing is Blåbjerg Klitplantage where you can find the highest dune in Denmark (64 meters). The plantation is consisting in wood and heather areas rich in animal life, and here you will find one of the largest red deer stands in Denmark.

If you want to play golf, you can choose among the following fine golf courses of the area: Holmsland Klit Golfklub just north of Holmsland Klit, Henne Golfklub south of Holmsland Klit and Dejbjerg Golfklub east of Ringkøbing Fiord.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and directions

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement containing all necessary information. On the first page you will find information about the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a directions on how to find the house. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due dates.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key as well as an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, water, etc.) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you can not reach your destination until eg. late evening, our local offices will be closed. Therefore please contact us in time to make arrangements with regards to the key and the deposit. Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can be rented at the local office or online, if you prefer not to bring these items yourselves.

When you book a baby cot, please note that we can not guarantee space for the cot in the master bedroom. If the house description say there is a cot in the house and you only need one, booking is unnecessary.

You can also book delivery of the extras you rent. This way you do not need to drive several times between the holiday home and local office.

Please note that in high season, extras might be sold out. Therefore we recommend you to always book extras and final cleaning when booking your holiday home.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
