Charming cottage with only 800m to the sea!

Welcome to the countryside a stone's throw from Hakefjorden. Here you live in a nice cottage located on the homeowner's property. There is room for the whole family on a small area. There is a separate bedroom with a double bed, and in the cozy sleeping loft (with a ceiling height of 120 cm) there are two sturdy mattresses. Please note that there is a steep ladder up to the loft. In the kitchen there is a sofa bed that can be made out if necessary. Fresh, tiled bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.

Here you can really enjoy the forest and land and at the same time be close to salty swimming! Hakefjorden and Timmervik offer beautiful swimming opportunities, and just 3 km away there is also a municipal swimming area in Aröd.

Only 15 km away is Stenungsund and its charming square, which not only offers an abundance of shopping opportunities with its 60 or so shops, but also a variety of other amenities, services and restaurants. During the summer, the square is filled with life and activity when several events and activities are arranged.

For the adventurous, the area around Stenungsund offers a variety of exciting excursion destinations. Take a trip to the charming archipelago communities of Tjörn and Orust, where picturesque fishing villages and beautiful nature experiences await. Gothenburg with Liseberg, Universeum and its restaurants and entertainment options is about 41 km.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
