“The house is clean and so is the pool and garden area. Lots of games and distractions. The gym is nice. It would be nice to have more light around the pool and garden area at night. A it would be nice to have a small fridge in the barbecue area. Overall, we were having a nice stay and it's very pleasant.”

“A beautiful old house with a large, very well-kept garden. The pool is huge, ideal for swimming. Everything you need is there, including a fitness room. We spent a great holiday here, not least because of the owner. He helped us a lot with everything (e.g. paying a parking fine) and was always available and immediately available if we had a question or request. We will definitely come back here, it is absolutely recommended.”

“Very nice and well located, within walking distance of the Ponte Lima.Het pool is clean and cool with plenty of privacy. Everything is provided for a wonderful afternoon or evening at the pool and a barbecue in sun or shade, among the flowers and appelsienbomen.Het furniture is typical old Portuguese, very beautiful but small and hard beds. (Only one bed is softer) Kitchen is in order and clean. The living room is downstairs, a large cozy rather dark room. It smells despite ontvochter becoming stale. The stereo does not work, Internet though. TV not used.We were outside the summer and slept with the windows (with many gaps) close. During the summer you will probably suffer from noisy neighbors, barking dogs, the (very friendly) bar right on and the accompanying garage-workshop carrosier. Not recommended for those with sensitive ears or want real peace. Do you go for the beautiful region and villages, tour you around a lot and want to "evening to enjoy the pool and a good pint, then it's perfect. The unused clothes are still ended up in was because everything smelled musty. The owners who live a little further are very friendly and the bottle of local wine was welcoming us. We definitely go back to that area, but it will e”

“It took some searching, but then we also had some in a very ordinary Portuguese street, behind a huge metal gate we have a week long celebration delicious holiday. In the huge, enclosed garden with olive and lemon trees, our dog could enjoy going her own way. Casa da Castanheta is a great house with a spacious swimming pool, not to mention excellent wifi. The latter is an absolute must to keep in touch for our daughters aged 13 and 17 years with the rest of the world.We have a few (evening) walks to Ponte de Lima with a very picturesque walk downtown in fifteen minutes. But even more trips to Viana do Castelo, Braga and Porto were doing very well. Nice place! Tip oorwatten it, because "at night let the dogs in the neighborhood regularly lot from him horen.Fam. “a wonderful stay in this beautiful spacious villa portuguese with all the trimmings. close walking distance to the center of the beautiful town, shops and a bakery for fresh bread. Large garden with lots of privacy, fantastic pool house! Friendly manager and his wife, however, come two times a week for cleaning and maintenance of the zwembad.wij were lucky with the weather all day sun and very warm (July 2013). Porto and Braga on 60 / 30 minute drive, the sea, 20 km (half an hour) The only disadvantage is that there are around a lot of dogs are barking the nights spent. Our two dogs were there the first nights of restless. Then the only disturbed our nights.”

“We rented the house with 6 people around the end of May 2013, and there was nothing to criticize. We were welcomed, given a tour of the house and some tips for our stay (where to go, events, food). Even if problems occurred, we were helped immediately. So in terms of the landlords house and everything in perfect shape. The only fault we had some trouble with it is the dog of the neighbors. Which dares some nights a little continue with his barking and howling. Now it's not that we have returned, tired but it bothers quite a beetje.De immediate vicinity of the house and ponte de lima (radius of a few kilometers), is equipped with all the necessary shops. Several supermarkets (big / small), several bakeries, pharmacy, gas station, etc ... You can so we have perfect your entire vacation spot afwerken.Verder the classic business visited Porto, Nature, Braga, Viana de Castello, Ponte de lima itself. “Very beautiful and well kept house in a beautiful setting. The house is well furnished, ideal for a family with older children and young adults. Very friendly and helpful owners. Perfect base for exploring the region. Many cozy and very nice towns nearby. Guimaraes and Porto are highly recommended. But Braga and Bom Jesus, the mouth of the Minho and Peneda-Gerês you can not miss. Only the dog of the neighbors can "make some noise at night!”

“What a lovely home! The whole plot is very broad and covers two buildings, huge terrace, large swimming pool and a garden. Google Maps (satellite) therefore covers both the house on the street, as the long building behind the pool. In the main house, the living room, bedrooms, etc. Rooms are (very) spacious, comfortable and tastefully equipped with furniture. Excellent beds, even for taller people. All equipment provided: Free WiFi, TV / DVD, dishwasher and washing machine. The 2nd building is the pool house, including covered terrace with barbecue, kitchenette, garden furniture, extra bathroom and carport. The owners are very nice and helpful, and speak English. It struck us, moreover, that the Portuguese in the north of Portugal in general remarkably friendly point.The house is in a beautiful detached villa area on north side of the river. Bakery, several cafes and restaurants, small supermarket within 5 minutes walk. The beautiful old town of Ponte de Lima itself is on the other side of the river. About 15 minutes walk from the old bridge. There are many restaurants, shops, supermarkets, etc. Lovely town to get through to slenteren.De area is very green and hilly / mountainous. In a street with all the life of a dorp.Gelegen on large private grounds with swimming pool surrounded by wijnranken.Ontzettend nice owners and very helpful. The center of Ponte de Lima is within walking distance, about 15 minutes. Nice town. Supermarkets in buurt.Een recommended. We as a family of 5 persons have our very sense. The weather was good.”
