Ms Rachel Sindorf  (24/10-2019)
“It was a great weekend !! The view from the villa is phenomenal !!! Really so crazy, I can get used to it every morning / evening😉 It was a very warm house, cozy, spacious, all inclusive. There were many games in the house that we made full use of. Radio was nice every time and we cooked wonderfully. Every morning you enjoy an extensive breakfast with that beautiful view, you fully enjoy 100%.”
Mr Burghard Schmidt  (30/9-2019)
“The arrival at the house was easy. However, nobody was there. Telef. We could then learn that there is somewhere a key box in which the key was deposited for us. After the code was called, we found the box after a long search. An indication of where the box is located would have been helpful. The house is very nice, also the location is great, if you like it a bit out of the way and rural. For us actually just right. If it were not for the many dogs that prefer to make a lot of noise at night. This has disturbed in the long run but very. The environment is very nice. A good starting point for sightseeing tours. A car is absolutely necessary.”
Mr JML Schoeren  (21/8-2019)
“Being able to make good arrangements with the owners about welcoming and welcoming The environment is amazing. Easy access to culture, nature and cities. This year, among other things, visited Coimbra and the island of Berlenga. Every morning the local baker drives fresh bread to the gate .... with coffee on the terrace .... a must!”
Mr Guido Loos  (22/7-2019)
“Very nice accommodation with all amenities. Centrally located to make beautiful trips, car is a necessity. Obidos, Peniche, Berlenga, Foz do Arelho, Sao Martinho do Porto, Nazaré, Buddha Eden, all worth visiting. The only drawback is the high humidity and we have had some bad luck with some days less weather, fog and clouds, but you are also on the Atlantic and you have to take this into account. But all in all beautiful house, beautiful location.”
Ms Gonnie Cornelisse  (5/6-2019)
“Nice villa, well furnished. Enough of everything. The bedroom below was still a bit damp. Fortunately, good beds and comforters so it wasn't cold at night. We arrived late in the evening and could find the way well as well as the key. Too bad the baby cot was not ready, as agreed. The area is green and nice and quiet. Had a nice week with all of them.”
Mr Yoran Gerritsma  (14/5-2019)
“Beautiful villa, fully equipped. The only drawback of this villa is the distance to nice restaurants, you really need a car for this.”
Ms Gina Martens  (25/9-2018)
“The accommodation was fully equipped. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful view. Village very quiet. Neighbors helpful. However, hindrance from barking dogs but good that you can expect in a rural environment. Remarkably low-hanging fog from the sea in the morning.”
Mr JML Schoeren  (19/8-2018)
“Been back to this beautiful house this year. Fantastic view from different balconies, where you can always find a place in the sun or shade through the day. The day sometimes started cloudy, but around twelve o'clock it was always nice weather. We enjoyed the pool, from there beautiful views over the valley. The house is fully equipped (TV, games, perfectly equipped kitchen, good coffee maker). Quiet place, but much to do in the area. Places like Foz d "Arelho and Sao Martinho do Porto on the coast (many attractive and inexpensive restaurants). Rio Major, Fatima and Obidos are beautiful places in the inland Sintra can be reached by an hour. an hour from Caldas da Rainha to Lisbon Car hire is necessary For groceries in Caldas da Rainha is a large supermarket (5 km). Top holiday, we would like to come back!”
Ms Birgit Ruiter  (17/8-2017)
“Unfortunately, the house fell. There is only one full bedroom available, the other one is a basement without light. The house is nicely furnished and has very good beds, unfortunately the garden is sad. Because the house is built on a mountain, it travels everywhere. Sitting outside in the evening is impossible at 1800, you must be in by the pool, if you are on the ride, or in the burning sun. Parasol or windshields are not available. The roof terrace is not furnished and furniture dragging From € 20. A local agent's assistance costs 15 € per time and the cleaning costs are 120 € also quite out of proportion. The arrival times of 1800 are not realistic, after all you pay for that day, but the local caretaker is not very customer friendly All in all, we found it rather disappointing despite the stunning views and beautiful surroundings, the house did not feel comfortable and certainly not suitable for 6 people. Unfortunately, we have been booking topic travel for years and certainly had high expectations of this house, Considering the rental price.”
Mr Frits Kesselring  (8/8-2017)
“After many years Spain was chosen to fall in Portugal this year. But to be right in line with the door, the weather was not as we used to the Spanish Costa (and end of July / early August). First of all, the temperature was a little lower, which meant we were Could not eat outside without a vest or sweater. There you can dress up, but the almost daily fog did not just make us not see the sun on some days. But also that it felt damp in the house. Especially in the 2nd bedroom in the basement it was quite wet. And due to the lack of a large window, this stressed an impressed impression. During the moderate weather, we had more time and effort in trips. Lisbon, Obidos and the Buddha Eden Garden park in Bombarral are recommended. The holiday home was fully equipped and was well kept. About the possible nuisance of barking dogs has already been written enough and honestly we did. What did not mean was the receipt of the key keeper. After handing over the keys, we were promptly asked if we already knew what time we would leave on our last holiday, in connection with the final cleaning schedule. This might be the case if we might want to leave earlier than the scheduled departure time of 10 o'clock. After a long 2-day car ride, we did not really think this was appropriate. Together, the accommodation is fine but because of the weather we have reasonably filled in as a general appreciation of our holiday.”
Mr Kristof Mergan  (12/7-2017)
“Very friendly and correct reception by the lady of a real estate agency nearby, who in fact spoke very good English. Upon arrival we saw a beautiful house with swimming pool. The panoramic view is phenomenal. Very quiet location with lots of privacy. In short, thank you for a wonderful holiday in a unique accommodation.”
Mr Herman Heymans  (7/10-2016)
“Upon our arrival we were well assisted by Laura of property management. The villa is beautifully discreet and perfect for 4 people. The view of the countryside is breathtaking and the ocean is on the other side within walking distance, you can make beautiful walks on the cliffs and dunes. The only downside for those who are sensitive to its neighbors have a lot of dogs and unfortunately also bark "at night.”
Mr James Kirwan  (4/9-2016)
“Lovely villa, 120 euros was a little extreme for a 6 day stay!”
Ms A. Berg  (16/8-2016)
“What a beautiful home! You feel like a king when you're standing on the roof terrace and overlooks the surrounding area. Wherever you look, the view is beautiful. You can even see the sea on a clear day. The owners have a great sense of beautiful, natural and quality materials put down a very solid and well designed home. The pool is sublime, wonderfully pleasant water where you can float or swim fine. Our kids (17, 16, 12 and 6) were unable to get out of the pool. We had two weeks of glorious weather and despite the often every morning for a few hours was foggy, we could rely on it after 1200 was always sunny and warm. And if you so lovely on your air bed floats and enjoy the view then forget the little discomforts. That sometimes no water comes out of the tap, that barking dogs from the neighbors, and you have a short drive to the supermarkt.Als we even had a comment we overcame that in all fairness to the owners who were well served by mail. For the three older children we rented mountain bikes in Caldas da Raina and thereby they themselves were off to the beach (6 km) .It is a beautiful home and we enjoyed the beautiful coast”
Ms Geertje Haazen  (12/7-2016)
“The property is indeed a pearl, is very stylish, with all the comforts. We lacked anything to spend a carefree holiday in the villa. The weather was not us along, continually came a cold wind from the sea, and sometimes we had fog, while a few kilometers away the sun shone. Very quiet, you can not call the area by the nearly constant barking of the dogs of the neighbors. To discover Portugal, this is a good base. 2 hours you are with the car in Porto and 1 hour in Lisbon.”
Mr M Vijverberg  (5/7-2016)
“It's a great house with all you desire amenities and stunning uitzicht.Alles excellent fine. Even if it is a day of bad weather, this is a very nice house to stay in.”
Mr Augustinus Pattij  (18/5-2016)
“We had a super holiday in this beautiful villa. The villa is equipped with every luxury, nice kitchen, nice terraces and a swimming pool. The view is breathtaking. Beautiful environment. Luckily we did have rented a car and then you can nearby to charming towns and restaurants where you can enjoy eten.Contact with the owner and manager runs smoothly, with questions you can always contact one of them. Overall worth repeating!”
Mr Pierre Moret  (12/10-2015)
“From the booking to the contact with the villa's owners to the process of getting/dropping the keys, all went very smoothly. The villa itself is very original and nicely built. And for once, I don't have to complain too much about the lighting (being in that business, I'm a bit picky on the topic). Photos are very accurate. Yes, the 2nd bedroom is a bit bunker-like with its small window, but it's roomy and has its own bathroom. After all, it's not the place where you'll spend your days anyway. Most important to us, the house and the pool were the cleanest we've experienced in the last few years (we rent 2-3x/year). Great surroundings too, with a lot to explore by foot (cliffs, sandy beaches, etc) and to visit (Obidos, Foz de Arelho, etc). And having been there early October, we had it pretty much for ourselves. A daily trip to Lisbon is no big deal either. All in all, we highly recommend both the villa and the destination.”
Ms Marie-Jeanne Boneschansker-Piscaer  (4/10-2015)
“Enjoyed this beautiful villa complete! Lovely quiet area and yet the coziness of restaurants within a radius of one kilometer or zes.De take place for key we were not perfect, a bit awkward.”
Mr Philippe Tielemans  (6/9-2015)
“A holiday where only hear superlatives. A beautiful villa in a stunning location with a unique view. All facilities are available to virtually carefree and spend your holiday. Nice pool with ideal dimensions. The pleasant interior ensures that you can fully relax. The dining table and lounge on the spacious terrace help here obviously to -) Less than 10 minutes drive from Sao Martinho do Porto, with its lovely promenade and most delicious restaurants ... Visit of Obidos was super! Etc ... I want to do one downside cite various neighbors have many dogs and occasionally begin this barking all too similar to each other ... even "night ... Foam or at our next stay but then -!)”
Mr Michiel Roddeman  (14/8-2015)
“We had a super holiday. The quiet and the view was great, we had the feeling that we the King of Portugal were high on a hill with sweeping views and pool. The was nice that we had rented a car, distance to large supermarket about 6 km. Many see the beautiful historic buildings nearby monasteries towns etc.”

About the holiday home

Superb design villa that boasts a panoramic view over the Portuguese countryside. This large property offers a high level of comfort, including a private swimming pool (which is quite a sight at night when lit up!), a large garden, several balconies and a full interior and exterior equipment.
Four to six people will be staying very comfortably, thanks to the two bedrooms (one of which including as well a king sofa bed), and two neat bathrooms.

The villas's geographical situation is very interesting: less than 10 kilometers away from sand beaches of the Atlantic coast or the Obido lagoon and about 1 hour drive from Lisbon. Besides spending a day in the Portuguese capital, you can also decide to spend some time in the local towns and get to feel a little portuguese yourself! Don't miss the parish of Caldas da Rainha with its restaurants, its market and its interesting architecture or Foz do Arelho, a former fishing village which is now rather touristic but where nice beaches and good good restaurants can be found!

About the area

About Portugal

Portugal is a small country, but the differences between each region are large.

In the north, the country shows its most original side, and the beautiful city of Porto is to be discovered. The famous port wine comes from this area. That's why many holiday homes in northern Portugal are near vineyards and port wine cellars. New at Belvilla: Portugal Apartments in Porto, the second largest city in Portugal. From your Portugal apartment, enjoy the view of Porto harbor, explore the beautiful old town or take a trip to the picturesque surrounding fishing villages that Portugal is so famous for. Also around Porto there are very beautiful beaches, on some you can even observe wild flamingos.
