About the holiday home

This detached holiday farm is located in Nederweert-Eind in North Limburg. The house has 4 bedrooms and is ideal for a large family. The house is located in a rural area where you can enjoy the tranquility. Here you have a view of the forest areas. You can also relax in the garden, completely fenced with a sturdy meadow fence (mesh) of 1m20 high.

The Wessem-Nederweert canal is only 200 m away, along which you can walk or cycle and where you can fish. There is an extensive network of cycling and walking routes through the wooded border area of the Netherlands and Belgium. The nearby town of Weert offers nice shops, restaurants and nightlife.

The house is very child and animal friendly. There is a dog basket and bowl for your dog and they can play freely in the spacious garden. A cot and high chair are available for your child. Finally, there is a TV with HDMI connection and an electric grill.

You can park right next to the farm, or in front of it. It is not allowed to make a lot of noise outside late.

“We were charmed by this farm, upon arrival we quickly noticed that it could perhaps be freshened up a bit. But we soon felt at home here and enjoyed the farm, the peace, the location and everything around it. Our dog could enjoy the garden to his heart's content, our son slept like a baby there and had so much fun. We enjoyed the peace and quiet location. Close to everything, yet far enough away that we were in nature. Fresh eggs and something tasty in the refrigerator upon arrival are the nice little things that make the stay that little bit more homely. The surprise that was hidden was also nice! The owner is there for you if you need them, but otherwise he respects your privacy and you will not see them. Pleasant stay!”

“The welcome was very friendly. The only thing that disappointed us was that it smelled very musty, which they tried to mask with scented sticks, causing a very bad smell. There is black mold in the bathroom and bedroom. The house has overdue maintenance, dirty windows, leaking conservatory, musty smelling kitchen cabinets, dirty extractor hood. Unfortunately, we went home earlier for that reason.”

“This farmhouse is detached and in a very quiet rural location. We were warmly welcomed by the owner. Fresh eggs and a tasty surprise also give an extra welcome feeling. The owners live a house away, are accessible if necessary but very discreet, and as a holidaymaker you are completely free and detached here, with a meadow in between with goats / chickens in between. The house is certainly child and animal friendly. Everything is ground floor. The garden was nice for our dogs, shade and sun options and well fenced around with fencing. Inside good beds, clean, and everything was present in the kitchen. A nice place and also plenty to see and do in the area! Wonderful midweek and we were lucky with the asparagus season ..”

The house is fully equipped, there is a high chair and a rocking horse, games for the whole family and even a dog basket :) The kitchen also has everything you need for cooking. The area is ideal for walking, water very close by. Shops are within walking distance. The landlord is very nice! Welcome gifts awaited us, which we were very happy about :)”

We could even leave our Husky alone in the garden when we were inside. - Coffee machine is a Senseo. Fortunately we had we saw this in the photos and brought our own filter device. - No freezer in the fridge. Our dog gets special raw meat (not available at a supermarket). That is no problem for a weekend. But for guests who stay for a week, this will be a big loss. Furthermore, the stay was very satisfactory, and it felt very old-fashioned. Also nice to discover the history of the house.”

The house has a history and when we went to sleep in the evening there was another surprise. It is a cozy house and the beds sleep wonderfully. The surroundings are beautiful and certainly with that view. Up early every morning, to have coffee outside the See the sun rise. Beautiful. We often went to South Limburg. The 3 land point and the forest hut Het Hijgend Hert are a must. In any case, driving through the hills is beautiful. The only thing worth commenting is that the advertisement for the house says "fireplace". That is not the case. A decorative fireplace is really something else. But it did not spoil the fun.”
