From the garden of your comfortable holiday home, the majestically towering Mount Etna is a real eye-catcher. The spacious holiday home for up to six people is embedded in the picturesque natural landscape of Sicily and promises you not only impressive views, but above all carefree holidays. During the day, you can relax on a lounger in the shade of the palm trees or refresh yourself in the private outdoor pool. Of course, the area also invites you to great excursions and leisure activities. After a long breakfast, you can, for example, set off on a short hike or plan a day trip to Mount Etna. Because the best way to see the fascinating lava landscape is up close. You can end the evenings in a relaxed manner in the garden: grill something delicious and enjoy a glass of wine.
The walls of the old town of Castiglione di Sicilia are clearly visible. Your holiday home is just a few kilometers outside the town, which lies on a hill. In the center you will find not only historical sights but also everything you need for your daily needs as well as a few restaurants. If you want to set off on foot on the approximately two-kilometer-long path, you will cross the Alcantara River, which practically runs behind your garden.

Activities nearby: One of the highlights of any holiday in Sicily is a visit to the Etna Nature Park. There are now good hiking trails, some of which even lead close to the main craters. From the Refugio Etna Nord, you can also take an off-road bus to the observatory. Our tip: take the slightly longer route to Refugio Etna Sud and take the cable car over the fascinating lava landscape. In addition, the Alcantara River is a picturesque setting that invites you to take part in many activities. These include rafting tours and canyoning, hiking and mountain bike excursions. Not far from your holiday home, several waterfalls are also within easy reach for walkers. Here you can take spectacular photos as holiday memories. The most famous motifs await you at the "Gole dell'Alcantara" (around seven kilometres). The gorges are up to 20 metres deep and four to five metres wide. The river park to the south-east of Francavilla can be reached via a car park. You can either make your way into the gorge via a footpath or even by lift. Don't forget your swimming gear, as you can also swim in some of the bays

Voucher and driving directions

1. When you have booked a holiday through us, you will receive a booking confirmation shortly after.

2. You will receive the final confirmation during the following day.

3. When we have registered your last payment, you will receive travel documents concerning your holiday home.

Collection of keys

Details as to collection of keys will be informed per e-mail at the latest 3 weeks before arrival day.

Arrival day

In general the holiday home will be ready for you from 4pm on the arrival day.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you arrive late in the evening, the reception/key collection place will be closed. Please check in good time how to behave in such cases.

Extra services

All the apartments have kitchen equipment for the number of persons for which the apartment is meant. In some cases linen and towels can be ordered - for further info pls see the description of the holiday home on DanCenter.dk under "extra services". Here it will also appear if it is possible to book other equipment such as a cot, a high chair for babies etc.

Tourist fee: A few of the holiday resorts have a tourist fee to pay at arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
