“we arrived on time, it was very easy to find, parking was possible on the private property, the owners had cleaned the house and explained everything neatly in English with the tour of the house. The house has a spacious garden where you can relax on a chair or hammock, the beach is very close within walking distance. the house has beautiful shutters on the outside that can also be closed, so a lot of privacy and you can keep any heat outside and the bedroom is completely dark with the shutters closed. also very nice that there was a good coffee machine with fresh bean coffee. appliances in the kitchen worked optimally and crockery was sufficient. the info / tips we received for the area were also very useful it is a super nice spacious house in a very nice area with everything close by. we think this house is a must, the owners keep their appointments and are very friendly, we had a very nice time in this house.”

“The house was reasonably well situated, a decent size and lay out. We arrived a bit early and needed to park somewhere, so we parked outside the house, the owners saw us and we said that we would go for a walk, but they said that they had finished, so we could enter (saved them waiting too). That was kind of them. They explained how everything worked and showed us the various maps and tourist guides. The house did not seem properly clean and the 2 toilets smelled - they needed properly cleaning as they smelt of stale urine. The dishwasher did not work properly and while we were ok to hand wash everything, the previous occupants did not realise/care and so we had to clean everything before using it. Some of the crockery was also chipped. We did not use the bathroom drawer as it was dirty and had hairs in it. There were no curtains. Luckily we were able to improvise with beach towels for the bedrooms. There was no starter pack. Every other house we have stayed in, there has been a pack with basic cleaning materials, we had to go to the shop and buy everything that we needed when we arrived. We were informed about the recycling bins and we emptied them on the Friday. However, there were a few bottles left over from the Friday evening and Saturday morning, we were told that we needed to take them with us - this has never happened before as the owners or cleaning staff have done this with any remaining rubbish - there was no outside bin, although there was a bin without a lid that had water and empty bottles in it. We were very surprised about this. Normally if the weather is bad we spend longer in the house, but we did not feel entirely comfortable there as it just did not feel properly clean. Overall we had a reasonable holiday, but we were not satisfied with the house, we have stayed in a lot of different ones over the past few years and this one was not good, we will not be returning there.”

“Fantastic welcome. Very friendly and helpful homeowners. House is neat and clean. Received explanation of accommodation and gentleman who can make himself understood in English showed us on a map which sights and facilities were in the area and there were all kinds of leaflets available. Setting is beautiful and beach is walking down the street and you are there. There are plenty of sights in the area. We have had a great holiday and definitely want to go back again”

“Easily findable location, parking in front of the door, super friendly welcome by the Bessin family. Nice house with enough space and a nice garden. Upon request, a high chair and bed were provided for us, at no extra cost. House fully equipped and a very short walk from the beach and charming village center. Nice facilities such as a very good cheese shop, fish shop, deli, bakery, etc. and also fine restaurants with local specialties all super value for money. Small supermarket with many organic products in the village center, but also a larger supermarket within walking distance of the cottage. In high season everything is also open every day and long opening times. In short we enjoyed it. Also many trips possible of course in the vicinity, but we have entertained us two weeks in the village with great food, drinks, beach and relaxation.”

“The arrival was very pleasant, Mr. and Mrs. are very nice and Mr. is fine with English. We were given a tour of the house and explanation of various devices. We were also alerted to sights in the area. Agon countville is a very cozy coastal village where there were many activities and lots of fun. For the most needed groceries you could go to the local supermarket and for several shops a neighboring town can provide you with everything.”

“We were warmly welcomed by the owners. They gave us a short tour of the house and explained the most important things. They also explained the neighborhood and where we could find the most important things on the basis of a map. At first glance the house seemed nice and modern (on the inside). It was, but keep in mind that it has been renovated. Everything is there. Big plus for us was also the stair gate that the owners had already installed at the top of the stairs. The area is fairly quiet since you are just outside the center, but the shop and the beach are absolutely doable on foot. Around the corner is a park with a playground so that was nice too.”

“We arrived at 1600h and the owners were waiting for us. After a warm welcome, we got an explanation of the devices in the accommodation and the house itself. In English / French. For us no problem. Car parking on site. Large back garden with ample privacy. All devices present and working. You walk out the street and then you are on the beach! The supermarket in the village found you less. You can drive better to coutance.”

“Friendly welcome. The house was fine and equipped with all the comforts. Sliding doors very bright from the south along the south side. Small drawbacks no stairwell and no suspension point for the shower head. The immediate area is a quiet residential area with lots of greenery.”

“We had two lovely weeks in the house. We were there as a family with 3 children aged 8 to 15 years. Our arrival was later, as we had a lot of traffic on the way. That was however for the landlord after a call no problem. We were welcomed very warmly. The house offers every comfort one can have. Kitchen fully equipped and had all sorts of appliances available, raclette, rice cooker, fast cooker etc. We all felt very comfortable. If we have the possibility we come back gladly again.”
