“Beautiful characteristic house located in a hamlet close to Clermont d'Exideuil. Large garden with beautiful views with comfortable sun loungers and large table. There is also a large veranda with fireplace. The house is attractive with a large kitchen where you can eat with 10 people. can sit in. It really is a French kitchen with countless pans, dishes and other crockery. Also there is a huge record collection which we enjoyed! The children found the stuffed animal heads a bit scary the first day. Furthermore, the house was not very clean, and we spent a few hours making everything cobweb-free and dust-free. But afterwards we really enjoyed the beautiful place and the authentic house, where you imagine yourself in another time.”

“Fully met our expectations. The reviews described the house accurately. So do not expect a neatly cleaned house, spider, dust webs and dead flies / wasps are really everywhere (also difficult to avoid given the character of the house, with crevices everywhere and walls that are not modern plastered). The existing decoration also makes it difficult to clean. The beds have good mattresses and were clean, but do know that the two available double beds are only 1.40 wide and have an old-fashioned footboard. So a bit tricky for older people. The same with certain doorways. It is also not recommended for people with young children or for people with walking difficulties. There are really a lot of treacherous steps and the two single beds on the mezzanine of the guest house are actually really difficult to reach. There is no dishwasher and it is relatively dark in the kitchen, even with the light on, so doing the dishes properly may be difficult for some ;-) The refrigerator is definitely too small in warmer periods when you stay with 8 people. There is also too little space to store clothes / suitcases for 8 people if you stay for two weeks. In the guest house (small house next to the main house) there is not even a closet space, while there is a sofa bed and two single beds. Actually, that guest house is only suitable to stay for a few days, or for older children, who are not afraid to sleep in another house. It was especially handy for us that the toilet was easy to reach from the garden and terrace, in the large house you have to go up a flight of stairs. We were only three, so plenty of comfort. We only used the toilet of the guest house. The terrace with fireplace, the silence, the view into the garden, the music system and record collection are fantastic. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility who love romantic cosiness without great luxury. 4 f”
