(photo album is in the living room) Craftsmanship and with modern facilities such as heat pump, hot water solar installation, etc. The house is very secluded (you can't see anyone from the terrace and garden), looks fantastic and a lovely swimming pool. Suitable for 8 people and equipped with all necessities. The owners live nearby on the same access road and are very friendly and personable. (also drop by early morning most days to water the flowers and clean the pool). The only thing you have to take into account is that large shops are a bit further away, so getting a quick message is not an option. Belvès and Monpazier are both nice towns (historic) and close by (10-15 min). We were very satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend this house.”

The house is fully equipped and the owners do everything to make you feel really welcome. And then the view, the spacious garden, the very well maintained swimming pool, the fresh vegetables that one day spontaneously stood at the front door ... everything to make it a fantastic holiday. And as said before there are things that are less perfect: the Wi-Fi is not as good everywhere, you have to drive 10 minutes to the first bakery by car ... “11 months to go and we can return. We have never reserved the same holiday home two years in succession and never this early. Now, however, we have not doubted why? Because of this: The property is easily accessible. Wide lanes until you turn into the narrow ascending road to La roque haute, but this is also good for driving. And then on top, love at first sight. The first thing you notice is the tranquility and the beautiful green surroundings. Apart from an abandoned farm a little further on, this is the last house on this dead end road. A few orchards and a meadow with horses complete the idyllic picture. You can see immediately at the front and in the driveway that it is a perfectly taken care of domain. The receiving committee was of course ready. Now, with one exception (not via Belvilla), we have always had very good contacts with sympathetic owners, but this is in a class of its own. Very pleasant warm people who live a few hundred meters back on La roque haute. They have literally built this holiday home with their own hands from a ruin consisting of a few stones (which more or less formed a wall) into the jewel that it is today (there is a photo album in the house that shows the works from start to finish, definitely take a look!). Occasionally they pass to clean the pool. They do this early in the morning when everyone is still asleep in order not to disturb. Now, however, I am an early riser and as a result I had the pleasure of having a pleasant conversation with both Mrs. and Mr. The first week we were there, they left a week for an undoubtedly well-deserved vacation and they apologized several times for being so less able to take care of us. Never experienced. With three bottles of wine and various local specialties we already had nothing to complain about, but apparently they occasionally pass with vegetables from their vegetable garden. The house itself is beautiful”

“This is now a holiday place that we dare (and will) recommend to EVERYONE. Everything is there to have a wonderful holiday. From our arrival there was plenty of it. The hospitality of the homeowners already made the best impression. A fresh bouquet of wild flowers and a delicious local product was proof of that. The view is phenomenal, the peace, the silence, The house itself (everything is there) the beautiful pool, ... We have even seen deer several times nearby. What a wealth for us to be able to stay in such a place. You can clearly see that the house was built with care but especially love. “Very friendly people! We were warmly welcomed by Philippe, afterwards his wife also joined us. There was a nice bouquet of ruffers on the table, with a bottle of wine and pâté de foie gras. Guided tour in the cottage that they have built themselves. During our vacation we lost our car key. When the owners knew this they brought us their second car, so we could still move. They love surprises, occasionally there was something delicious for our door to eat coeur, croquettes, jam ... Beautiful, clean bedrooms, large kitchen, good showers, very quiet environment because only your ultrasound is audible. Well maintained pool and domain, ... And a paradise for my 5 month old puppy!
