About the holiday home

The tranquil 3-bedroom holiday home in Puy-l'Evêque is suitable for families and groups. The house has a large, furnished fenced terrace, a swimming pool and a barbecue for you to enjoy a delicious meal with families and friends.

There is a steady supply of fresh fruit and nuts depending on the season. The house is centrally located as all facilities are nearby. The tennis court, lake, restaurants, public swimming pool and supermarkets for your daily needs are all present in about 4 km. There are lovely circular walking routes from the property, which already consists of 7 hectares of its own forest and garden, with further beautiful walking routes through the beautiful countryside and the chance of meeting badgers, deer, etc., leading through the nearby hamlets and back to the holiday home.

There is a living room with a TV showcasing international channel, fireplace and DVD player, well-equipped kitchen, furnished bedrooms and bathrooms, washing machine and central heating system. The home is equipped with all required amenities such as a beautiful garden, play equipment, high chair, children's bed, stylish garden furniture and coffee machine. you can bring here upto 3 pets at extra charges.

Tarbes–Lourdes–Pyrénées is 9 km away.

“With the house in this condition you can't really receive guests. Very dirty, we have vacuumed 2 vacuum bags full of cobwebs, crumbs, dust etc. Television broken, various light bulbs replaced, 1 metal double bed that rattled when you look at it (fortunately there were 2 more and we slept on the least bad one), doors that close badly, promised swimming pool (small) already closed for the winter, radiators that whistle all night (so they bleed themselves), radiator knobs that leak, laminate in the bathroom that has been affected by moisture, coffee maker and kettle full of limescale so these also had to be descaled, in short all this and with the very dark interior it looked more like a run-down horror house. There is also a lot of work to be done outside to give this house in this beautiful location a decent appearance.”

“Very old estate, dirty, not cleaned for very long time, swimming pool not fresh, information about the owner not correct. Only a key keeper/technician available. Not the expected standard of Belvilla. The sleeping rooms were so dirty that I had to sit outside because of asthmatic problems. Sheets for beds not complete.”

“The property is dated and in need of some TLC, there are things within the property that do not work such as the TV, the channel box was broken when we arrived, in spite of reporting the fault it was never fixed, there are multiple extension cords around the property, not sure if it meets basic health and safety standards. Most frustrating part is the situation with linen, although linen is provided, however, beds are not made on arrival and the condition of the linen can be best described as shabby and old, we asked care taker can we at least have matching bed linen, however, we were told the previous family had 10 guests and they used all the linen. You can enjoy the pool after you have cleaned it of the bugs. Shower cubicle needs attention as the door is cracked and we were informed that the previous guests broke it!! Hmmm! Looked broken for a while to us. Now! Good bits - if you want piece and quite this is a perfect location with small villages around the corner, wildlife and insects are in abundance, there is resident mantis in the kitchen window, wild cat that lives within one of the old barn at the back and if you are quiet you might see a dear roaming around within the grounds. I suppose! The big question- will we book again the property and with belvilla ? Answer is an emphatic NO. Verbo and Belvilla did not even acknowledge the concerns we raised as soon as we arrived, in fact we are still waiting for a response! Not impressed and over priced.”

“A beautiful house on the outside. Grass was going to be mowed but that didn't happen. The swimming pool needed to be renovated and had too much chlorine in it. Sheets were from the 60s I think, but clean. Kitchen linen was not provided. Inside, old furniture and electricity not compliant. Very dark inside. In one room it was also not clean on one side. The rest is functional and all kitchen utensils are present, but also dated. Very quiet area and close to supermarket and river. TV worked but the promised TV Flanders did not work.”

“Pleasant reception by a Dutch speaking manager. The house is fully furnished and the owner has done his best to give it a cozy impression. The beds are spacious and comfortable. The terrace around the house is lovely with a large parasol for the shade.There is a large grass garden and there are cozy flowers around the house. We saw a deer crossing the garden twice.”

“Arrival there was nobody present with arrival, we had to call the owner. He was there within 15min.Accomodation reasonably outdated but with many conveniences. Not entirely clean.Environment really a beautiful and large garden with lots of nature. Wonderful quiet environment”

“Big house with lots of land. Even a private driveway with fruit trees. Always somewhere a place out of the sun if desired. The grass on the pasture was not mowed for some time and was very high. This makes the deer decided to simply pass through the garden. Amazing !! The furniture was antique and you imagined yourself in a centuries old farm, which also tapped because the building dated from the 17th century. Also to have stopped around the time proved. We loved it.”

“Lovely old house in quiet, rustic area - well off the beaten track - few km away from Puys L "Eveque Deer and horses came into the garden almost every day Plenty of space for children to roam and play Swimming and canoe hire quite... close in Puys L "Eveque, supermarkets and restaurants.Great weather for two weeks, 28-31 degrees (24 August-7 September). Ate breakfast in the sun on the terrace most mornings and had a BBQ some evenings. Great place to relax and chill out.”
