This thatched cottage is located in the middle of Langeland's beautiful nature on the outskirts of Vindeby, yet close to the beautiful island capital of Rudkøbing (approx. 10 km), where there is a large supermarket, 3 discount stores, and a good number of specialty shops, etc.
Rudkøbing has many beautiful houses in its attractive streets, and the nearest shopping facilities are located in the town of Humble, as well as a large indoor flea market in the neighboring town of Kædeby.
The vacation home has a large living room with access to the garden, a TV with 80 channels, and a well-maintained, newer kitchen. There is also a bathroom and 3 bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. The house also has an oven, an induction hob, a dishwasher, and a washing machine.
The house's 1,200 m² plot is open and is often visited by large and small herds of fallow deer, roe deer, hares, and pheasants, as well as numerous birds. Almost every day, you can see herds of 20–100 deer, and on the house grounds, you can often see herds of up to 20 animals—especially at night.
On the same level as the ground floor of the house is an approx. 20 sqm balcony with a wide view of the surrounding area and a view of the Langeland Belt with ferries passing by to Norway and Sweden, cruise ships, and merchant ships, including Maersk container ships. The balcony offers a wide view of the surrounding area and the Langeland Belt with ferries passing by to Norway and Sweden, cruise ships, and merchant ships, including Maersk container ships.
The area is characterized by a few kilometers of hilly landscape. The house contains the typical and very beautiful Hattebakker from the Ice Age. There are large wooded areas on both sides of the house, 1 km away.
Close to the house (1.5 km) is Skovsgaard Gods, set in fantastic countryside and with its own Green Café and a pair of white-tailed eagles, which can often be seen both at the holiday home and around the estate. Cranes and other birds of prey can also be seen near the house.
At the southern tip, Dovns Klint and Gulstav Mose are worth a visit. In this area, you can see up to 100 “wild horses,” which are doing so well that they can now also be seen in other places on the island. Langeland Fort is worth a visit, and Bromølle Manor offers delicious food in historic surroundings – either in the main building or in the cowshed.
You should choose this house if you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with rich wildlife. And if you want to enjoy beach life, Ristinge Beach (8 km) is recommended as it is Langeland's best beach.
