Ms A Wildeboer Hoeksema  (6/8-2018)
“Lovely house! Everything works as it should. Lovely the peace and space around the house. Kids enjoyed the lake in branca. Groceries can be collected in Tachov about 7 km from the house.Vie in Svobodka (hostinec u soudku) and in Tachov (river) are recommended.Ook for people with pets a must this house garden is completely fenced.”
Ms Nana Vandebon  (17/7-2018)
“The arrival was fairly warm, he picked us up at the key address and drove us to the front of the house, a bottle of wine and typical Czech biscuits were ready for us. It was a place to blissfully relax! There was plenty of opportunity to walk with the dog and it was absolutely silent everywhere. In the village of Tachov there were some nice restaurants and it was very nice. The house was a bit older but it was nicely renovated, of course it was not a luxury house but actually this was not necessary at all. Everything was there and worked as it should. Keeping a campfire or a BBQ was not a problem because there was enough wood available. And what was ideal because we had our four-legged friend at the fully fenced garden where we could enjoy the evening and watch how the red deer came grazing at the edge of the forest.Obv the fact that we had a few days less weather did the wood stove perfect as heating.”
Mr G. Haverhoek  (27/8-2017)
“We arrived earlier than expected but because the house was already cleaned and the previous holidaymakers had already left we were allowed to get there right away. The owner was promptly present and a bottle of wine with some sweets was already ready, top! The accommodation was fine, was very spacious with big bedrooms. Also plenty of space in the kitchen and even a separate dining room. The weather was good so we used to sit outside and regularly use the barbecue available. "In the evening the rain and deer came out of the woods and we also saw the fox passing by, beautiful. The surroundings are really beautiful, we have walked a lot, this is right from the house. Beautiful forests, hills with views and flowing streams, what does one want even more? If you like peace, this is the place. Pilsen is also very worthwhile with its beautiful cathedral and underground corridors and also a very nice large zoo from which you have a beautiful view of the In Tackov, about 7 km away, there is a wide selection of supermarkets, and there is also a beautiful new swimming pool. We go to another area every year, but we certainly want to go there again.”
Ms Marte Faas  (7/10-2015)
“With four adults, three teenagers and three dogs two wonderful weeks in this super house! Large spaces and a huge garden complete with (climbing) barn, cherry tree, sunny patio and fire pit. Almost every day the bbq had and every evening around the campfire. 10-minute drive from Lidl where we took every morning fresh rolls. If you are willing to make some kilometers, there is plenty to do in the area. Overall a fantastic vacation for a good price! Not only the rent was very reasonable, but the Czech Republic itself is nice and cheap.”
Mr Melanie Severin  (5/11-2013)
“We were not in the house but the house Nora Rybnik, after the owner had offered us this phone exchange because the house Rybnik probably better wäre.Es was a very large house, suitable for quite a number of adults. Who loves loneliness is just right here. Unfortunately, the access road to this house is not good, steep feeder path over meadow with some gravel in places. In case of snow or more days of rain we believe it is impossible with the car get up there again. Maximum all-terrain vehicle! There was only one working toilet below. There was enough wood there for heating, but kindling we had then only once in the forest itself are looking for. Furthermore, the wood heater has a crack which is not safe behind, and we know our stuff, heat itself 350 sqm of living space with a Hozvergaser. So we are not city dwellers! Our mistake was that we have read that there is no satellite TV, the existing TV is broken and thus not really usable. To keep three children in bad weather in a good mood, then talk difficult. The front door can not be locked from the outside, chopping the key, so we always had in the absence of open door. For people with mold allergy also not suitable because the walls there are white”
Mr Raf Dirckx  (11/8-2013)
“Three weeks of rest and batteries fully charged in this very quiet woning.Het house is equipped with all utilities and gerieflijk.De owners are available at all times and very gastvriendelijk.Onze 3 lovely dogs can romp in the fully fenced yard. Since three weeks full sun, we can stargaze at the campfire in the garden every evening. Tasty BBQ or visit especially the restaurants in Tachov, where you can eat. Tasty and cheap Shopping in Tesco, large and very long open on all days. Many trips made and especially our favorites are Prague, Karlovy Vary, Cheb, not to mention Loket. Also not to forget pleasant stay under the trees in the garden in hot weather and delicious if you can pick the cherry trees. Your fruit itself Highly recommended this house for people with kids and dogs and if you like blissful tranquility.”
Ms Mary Neuschwanger  (7/7-2013)
“We (my daughter and I) and our two dogs had a great holiday. R nHeerlijk spacious home and large fenced yard. The road to it is unpaved, but you get or a lovely quiet area with lots of privacy in return. The owner speaks good Dutch and came further information later if everything went well. Ms Barbara Heidendal  (4/10-2012)
“We had a great holiday with our 3 large dogs in the house Nora. It is very quiet, surrounded by nature with a large garden that is well off. All necessary facilities are available. You can make beautiful walks in the area, there is a lot of forest and meadow. The town Tachov is a 10 minute drive away and there you can find everything in terms of shops and restaurants. The owners of the house are very friendly and engaging. Highly recommended this house!”
Mr John Cooper  (2/9-2012)
“First of all: make sure you know which Obora in the country you're heading for! Google sent us to a place called exactly the same but near Louny, north-west of Prague and only an hour's drive from Prague. We planned everything around that fact, only to discover (after having paid our second installment) that THIS Obora was south-west of Prague, near Tachov, and 2 hours drive from Prague!!! We changed what we could in the remaining month before leaving, including accomodation on the way. Anyway, if you like peace and quiet and if you like to stay in the middle of nowhere at the back of beyond, then this place is ideal. Also if you like cycling and don't mind moderate hills, then this is a beautiful area. Once we found the cottage (difficult without SatNav) and our bearings, we fully enjoyed our stay. We did love the fact that we didn't have neighbours to worry about; it was beautiful to see deer in the fields next to the cottage early in the morning; our four children (aged between 9-15) loved being able to make campfires several times with the owner's permission in a designated area; they had fun with a visiting bat for a few days... It is easy to get to other places to visit, such as Prague & Marienbad. Tachov is about 7km away and has all you need, even a Lidl, Tesco and Albert as well as local fruit and veg. shops. The lake in Branka was very cooling (!) to swim in but not suitable for play as it becomes deep very quickly and the water didn't appear to be very clear/clean. We tried and failed to find a beaver reserve near Lesna, but the trail was basically overgrown and impassable. The house itself is very big and certainly fit for 7 persons. It is equipped with the basics. It doesn't have a freezer as stated and the 'oven' is a microwave oven. Personally I would have preferred a washing machine to a dishwasher, but if you stay for two weeks then an arrangement can be made with a local lady to do some washing for you for a fee. The interior is charming, but very much DIY in that the slats under the mattresses weren't fixed nor was a table top in a bedroom attached to its legs. But maybe that was 'work in progress'. The house owner speaks Dutch, English, German and Czech which would have been helpful/reassuring to know before setting off. Due to circumstances beyond our control we needed to make use of Belvilla's SOS service on two occasions (non-emergencies as such) and we were very impressed with it!!! So, I would recommend this cottage, taking into account what I have written above, with some information that wasn't available to us when we first booked.”
Mr B.E Brusselmans  (25/8-2012)
“We were warmly welcomed and Dutch. The house is comfortable and cozy, the scenery is beautiful and there are many nice towns within a radius of 50 km (also on the border with Germany, take a guide along Bavaria). In the area are many lakes, the direction of the local information office we have near every town a nice swimming spot found. The homeowners have a handy folder with tourist and other information compiled. One of our favorite things: gathering wood campfire and then stargazing.”
