About the holiday home

This simplistic cottage is located in Cerfontaine. Ideal for a family or a group, it can accommodate 8 guests and has 4 bedrooms. This fully equipped cottage has a terrace to relax and enjoy.

The lake is 3 km from the cottage. The grocery store is 5 km away if you run out of the essentials. Try out new recipes at the nearest restaurants just 5 km.

The terrace with garden furniture offers some outdoor time with your family. An open kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher is in place for you to use. You can experiment your culinary skills with the barbecue in place.

Guests can check-in between 5 PM to 6 PM and check out is from 10 AM to 11 AM.

It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

“The house was very spacious and neat. We were lucky with the weather: 30 degrees. Nice outside, but upstairs in the bedrooms it was sweltering. That was actually the only downside. And to turn that point into a positive, we sat on the lovely spacious terrace for a nice long time in the evening. A great home for 8 people. The children had organized fun things in the area. Enough to do. A house to recommend…yes. And luckily the owner speaks decent Dutch. Fine if you want to ask something. Tip: take some tea towels with you. 😁”

“Het huisje in Soumoy was rustig en in een mooie omgeving. Bij mooi weer kun je goed buiten zitten. De keuken was erg basic, weinig keukengerei. Na 2 dagen hebben we de vaatwasser niet meer gebruikt, omdat deze uit elkaar viel en erg vies was. De deur van de vriezer sloot slecht. Het huisje is binnen erg gehorig. Alles wat je beneden zegt, hoor je boven letterlijk en andersom.”

“Standard cleaning costs of 60 euros, even if everything is cleaned and everything is left clean. Wi-fi is not available, and things such as electricity, water and heating are charged additionally. A stay that initially costs 351 euros for a weekend quickly becomes a stay of approximately 435 euros. Owner does not always reply to messages during stay and is not always friendly in communication. On top of that we were received with a sermon about previous tenants. P.S.: Good to know: accommodation is along the owner's residence, and above an apartment (also rented by the owner)”

“The house was more spacious than I imagined and, thanks to the good weather, we were able to make good use of the beautiful garden. The area is also beautiful and offers plenty of opportunities for hiking.Belangrijkste downsides were the stairs in the middle of the hallway (I agree) and the fact that the house is very noisy (not ideal with a small baby).”

“Points positifs:- propriétaires très sympas et cordiaux- logement bien spacieux pour accueillir 8 personnes- 1 salle de bain + 1 shower: très utile- lave-vaisselle très fonctionnel, 2 frigos/congélateurs (très bedinllepratseique) possibilité de faire un barbecue- endroit très calme, on n"entend que les moutons et les vaches :-)- le logement était très propre à notre arrivée- possibilité de mettre les vélos à l"abri dans une petite remise- 200€ "acompte et le décompte est remboursé rapidement (les 60€ de netyage sont automatiquement retirés de l"acompte)Points un peu moins positifs:- la vaisselle disponible commence à se faire vieille (assiettes et bols ont des petits coups)- pas de wifi disponible, c"est un peu dommage- étant donné la grandeur de la pièce, une plus grande TV serait un +- peut-être prévoir quelques articles de cuisine supplémentaire pour un séjour encore plus réussi: presse-fruit, grille-pain, four à micro-ondes.- prévoir également une raclette, un seau et un torchon. Pour des longs séjours, c"est plus qu"utile, surtout quand il pleut, au moins, ça permet au locataire de garder le logement propre.”

“The decor is very simple and not so cosy. All facilities are available in the kitchen to prepare a full meal. But a settlement afterwards for "consumption costs" we found a bit excessive. We paid € 60.00 for cleaning, but have put everything back in the dishwasher because it was not clean from the previous visitors. And I think it's a shame to pay for consumption costs. Overall, ok but not recommended.”

“Hello, I am deeply outraged by the way we were dropped off by the landlords of the vacation rental. I certainly want to pass this on to you as an umbrella organization. We paid a deposit of 200 euros and 60 euros final cleaning. There was also no choice to do the same. No odometer readings were recorded. The deposit would be refunded, no cash refund. Now they will refund an amount minus EUR 64.82 extra costs for water, electricity and heating. !? This is a complete rip off and a seedy practice. Maybe I am drawing the short straw here, but this is going way too far. Hopefully you can bring those people to order. It is certainly not publicity for them, but also not for Belvilla. I thought we paid more than enough for that week.”

“It is a beautiful, spacious house. You have to climb 2 stairs to get to the house. With your luggage that is ff hard. There are few glasses. We have bought many plastic cups. Furthermore, the dishwasher is dirty and therefore the dishes are not clean. Beds are good, many bedrooms.”

“The cottage was large and spacious and had a large back garden. Everything you need was actually there. The only thing I regretted was that everything was very far away and the buses run at very weird times. Walking somewhere will easily cost you 2 hours and there were nowhere to rent bicycles for a longer period than a few hours. You really have to have a car. The surrounding villages were fun to walk through. The huge lake nearby was also fantastic.”
