“Very kindly received. Hostess had lit the wood fire, nice and warm and cozy. Farm very remote, very quiet, surrounded by nature, just what we like. Everything we needed in the house. Downstairs a somewhat rustic bathroom, but upstairs a brand new shower cubicle with new bathroom. No WiFi, we just like it. From our residence you can make the most beautiful walks, moving by car is not necessary. Price-quality more than ok.”

The owner's dogs are chained in the yard day and night and are fed whole loaves of bread, something that is actually no longer possible for Dutch standards.”

“We received a great welcome. The owner was very friendly. There were also fresh eggs ready for us. The house is super furnished, everything you could need was available. The house is very nicely decorated. Very authentic. There is also a nice terrace and a bbq. The house is very secluded and in the neighborhood you will find "silence in the evening. This is very relaxing. There are also animals in the yard. This was very nice. We will definitely come back here.”

“Upon arrival, a warm welcome and a box of fresh eggs on the kitchen table. Beautiful area, bordering on woods and nature, walked a lot from the house. with alternation of meadows, forests. The house is very remote, we thought that was beautiful, but some people might not like that. The house is comfortable, pleasantly furnished for 8 people, also with enough space to divert. A bit old here and there, but with defects the owner was immediately ready, he was very helpful. Wifi, about only when you're outside, but that was also what was indicated on the description. Also that was no problem for us.”

“The farm is in a beautiful setting. It is really just that far away from everything! No or hardly any reach with your phone and running water was also a problem every day. The water came through the youth camps in the area that came to the farm to get water because of this we were without! The farm itself is reasonably maintained. The shower cubicle upstairs is really in need of replacement is really filthy. The play equipment etc must also be replaced for safety. We found the animals around the farm pathetic especially the 2 dogs on a chain that belong to the farm. The farmer came by every morning to give the animals residual waste as food and some water. They did not live on the farm while they say so, but that is not the case. That is why the arrival and departure times are so strictly likely. The reviews said about the reception here, they definitely participated. We were present at the indicated time and they were waiting for us with jam and fresh eggs. Only speak French absolutely no English or Dutch. No problem for us, but think it's important to report! We have done a day out with our young kids despite the high temperatures enough to see in the area! We have made it a great week. We would not go back and do not recommend it as a holiday address. Let's first invest a little in the farm.”

“Arrival was friendly and good, although we arrived with a 1/2 hour delay. Accommodation is fine, but it could be a little cleaner. Environment is as described in the booking, lonely and quiet. Yard is really in the middle of the fields without neighbors.”

Was just a problem with the water ... but the owner solved it immediately even on Christmas day. Then no more problems. Lovely beautiful quiet wooded area ... plenty of walks possible”

About the holiday home

This 4-bedroom farmhouse can host 8 guests. The house is located in Gedinne and it comes with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking sumptuous meals, a terrace with a barbecue for enjoying meals outdoors with family and friends and a courtyard as well. There is even a jet shower in 1 bathroom and 2 pets are allowed for free.

Classic racing is extremely popular in Gedinne. Tour du millénaire is a classic vantage point in the town which you can visit. Visit the Lesse river and Croix Scaille in Ardennes for a nice day trip. Water sports can be taken 8 km away in Recrealle while the town centre of Gedinne lies 9 km away where you can get all basic necessities.

The house is in an isolated spot where there will be no neighbours for at least 3 km. There are various farm animals in the farmhouse and the helpful owner next door will provide you with both breakfast and farm produce on request. There are bicycles available on rent for both children and adults and so is parking.
