About the holiday home

A cosy and comfortable bungalow near the village of Baillamont; perfect for a restful holiday. Almost everything is on the ground floor, except a double bed and a small sitting area, which are on the 1st floor. Thanks to the well-enclosed garden, dogs can also enjoy a carefree holiday.

Baillamont is a great base for exploring all the natural beauty of the southern and western Ardennes. Bouillon, Alle, Vresse and Rochehaut are just a short distance away and the French border is only 30 minutes away. Enjoy a pleasant evening in Café Route 65 and admire the beautiful starry sky on your way back. There are 2 hiking maps for Bièvre and Vresse ready for the enthusiast.

There is a spacious, fenced garden around the house, where you can sit comfortably in the sun. At the front there are some large trees for a good shelter. At the rear are meadows. The house therefore offers more than enough privacy. Moreover, there is a DVD player with more than 100 DVDs for children, so they do not have to get bored on rainy days.

“House and garden are nice. The house is small and cozy and quiet. The top floor seems difficult to reach and low. The shed/garage is certainly useful for your belongings. Handy for drying wet items. Too bad it smelled there. The garden offers various sun and shade areas and is well screened. However, the beds are much too soft. Sleeping well is a must to enjoy the very beautiful and peaceful surroundings here. It was good that there were screens because I think in the summer the cows cause a lot of fly nuisance. Now in the autumn I have had little trouble.”

“This property is beautifully located at the end of the street with a few houses. 24 hours of silence around you, so you can sleep in. The house is functionally furnished. The kitchen is practically built so that you can work with two people at the same time. The owner, Alex, and the manager, Valerie, indicated very neatly in advance that there were two small problems. Alex immediately offered a discount if the shortcomings were not resolved during our stay. The wood stove burns super, partly because there is enough dried wood. The sitting area is great and invites you to watch TV while lying down. Sufficient channels including NED 1, 2 and 3. Your own movies you can watch with your own chromecast. There are also more than enough DVDs. The garden is well fenced and large enough to play with the dog. The adjoining garage is great for storing your loose items. The second fridge and freezer is useful if you want to store a lot at once. The Carrefour is 5 minutes by car and has an adequate range. This one also has good bread, something you can't get everywhere in Belgium. Finally, the price/quality ratio is fine.”

“Friendly welcome. It is a small but nice house to stay with 4 adults and a dog. It's a cold house. Only the fireplace (a plus) is not enough on cold days. The beds are good and it is nicely decorated. The garden is completely enclosed. Behind the house is an open field and further you sit between the Christmas trees (pépinière). You can walk from the house, but there are no marked hiking trails. The shower leaked but still looked new and they were going to fix this. We had a nice, cozy weekend and do not regret our choice.”
