“We had the pleasure of staying at this delightful holiday home in Vielsalm, nestled in the scenic Ardennes. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly landlord, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. The first thing that caught our attention was the spaciousness of the accommodation. As a group of four adults and our furry friend, a dog, we were thrilled to find ample room for all of us to relax and unwind comfortably. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, with every corner shining bright and inviting. The kitchen was a true highlight for us. It was equipped with everything we needed and more, making it easy for us to whip up delicious meals together. This added convenience allowed us to spend quality time bonding over cooking and dining experiences. Privacy was abundant, allowing us to enjoy our own space while still feeling connected to the charm of the surrounding area. The inclusion of an garage was a plus, providing a secure spot for our vehicle. And for our beloved canine companion, the expansive garden was an absolute paradise. Our dog had plenty of space to roam and play freely, and we appreciated the pet-friendly atmosphere that made us all feel right at home. Throughout our stay, the landlord was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs. He was always on hand to offer assistance or recommendations, further enhancing our overall comfort and enjoyment. In summary, our stay at this holiday home was a blessed time. From the spacious accommodation to the warm hospitality and everything in between, it provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable getaway.”

“We hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad. Het huis ligt rustig, maar centraal, ideaal om vele uitstapjes te maken. Het huis is zoals omschreven, met veel gemak en voorzieningen. De eigenaar ontving ons hartelijk en gaf ons netjes een rondleiding door het huis. Er is van alles aanwezig, van wat koffie tot schoonmaakmiddelen. Ook voor haardhout was gezorgd en werd extra gebracht toen wij daar om vroegen. Het klopt wel dat het sanitair beneden wat vernieuwd mag worden, maar wij maakten eigenlijk alleen gebruik van de badkamer boven. Verder heeft het huis een heerlijke tuin waar onze hond lekker vrij kon rennen. Wij hebben daar ook nog even in het winterzonnetje kunnen genieten van een lokaal biertje, dat de eigenaar voor ons had klaargezet. Dus al met al een aanrader!”

“Very good! The experience of the stay (the week) was not fantastic because of the weather, which was not the house. The house was nice and attractive. Tastefully cared for and clean. Excellent beds, nice bedroom(s), well-equipped kitchen with all amenities, and a very cozy living room with many cozy seating areas and a nice wood-burning fireplace. Beautiful large garden, but due to the changeable weather we have made little use of it. The dog could run around in the enclosed garden. Lots of privacy. Beautiful hiking opportunities. We had a good time. Pleasant reception, very pleasant ending. Compliments to the owner.”

“A friendly welcome by the owner, with a tour of the entire house. The rooms were very neatly cleaned and the beds were made. Certainly enough space for luggage, clothing and bathroom items. Everything was provided with the necessities that we were allowed to use. Garage is a plus, especially with warm temperatures. Spacious, well-maintained garden. Presence of washing machine and washing line is an advantage (bring your own clothespins). Pleasant, quiet environment.”

“Had a wonderful midweek in this beautiful house with a great garden. Our dog also had a good time and could go about his business in the fully fenced large and sloping garden. Cooking for ourselves was important to us (due to a recent jaw surgery) and the kitchen was very complete and suitable for this. If we have to mention a critical point, it is the shower, which is not separate but in the narrow bath, which becomes a wet mess without a shower curtain or partition. We had beautiful weather and actually a lot of "home" in the garden to relax (unfortunately the temperature control of the jacuzzi was broken, but it is being worked on and the owner immediately apologized) and there are beautiful towns nearby to visit.”

“A lovely house in a beautiful setting. All comforts are available from a good kitchen, a fireplace, a BBQ to a Jacuzzi. Everything was in near mint condition and very clean. Beds seemed unused and were fresh, clean and neatly made. There was wood ready for the fireplace, coal for the BBQ and a bottle of Belgian beer. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. He really wants to please you. TV has plenty of channels, the conservatory has a nice pond and there are plenty of seating areas and places outside. It is completely fenced so that you can also let your dog run free with peace of mind. In the evening or at night in the jacuzzi is wonderful, nice Christmas lights make it a small party. Are there any downsides? Yes a few. The games room and shower/WC being on the garage level is very cold. For darts, air hockey and table football you really need shoes or slippers. Also the shower / toilet there is somewhat spartan. The bathroom upstairs is really much better with bath and toilet. A shower curtain would be nice to reduce splashing. Bakker is at the bottom of the hill and within 10 minutes you are in Vielsalm or Trois Ponts. Summarized; an ideal place for a family with (max 4) children (+ Baby) to relax. So highly recommended.”

About the holiday home

With its elegant and refined interior, this holiday home in Vielsalm offers the ideal conditions for a peaceful holiday with family or friends. Both in the summer and winter, there is plenty to do in the area.

This is a great place to enjoy beautiful cycling and walking tours through nature in the summer and skiing in the winter. The centres of Vielsalm, Grand-Halleux and Trois-Ponts are nearby and a visit to Malmédy (19 km) is also very worthwhile. The nearest ski slopes are already 6 km from the property. You can buy the daily necessities at the supermarket that is within walking distance of the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing delicious meals. Enjoy a good glass of wine on the terrace accompanied by a barbecue meal. On the roof terrace, you can witness the countryside views or completely relax in the bubble baths.

There is a large living room with a wood fire and a bar. Kids and adults can enjoy playing in the games room.
