“Everything fine, except 2 things 1) The description says sauna, but upon arrival it is simply reported that it was broken by young people 2) the description states open buildings but is semi-detached. “The cottage was a bit disappointing for us. The photos give a wrong impression (is less well cared for and certain things are not present, such as the nice hammocks). It is more dated than the photos show. What was disappointing: - 1 refrigerator had no shelves, they were broken and the new ones had been ordered but not yet arrived. - The heating works on fuel oil and could not be turned off, so it was very hot in the building, especially the floor in the kitchen. It was a very hot weekend, but we still paid 50 (!) Euros for heating oil. Too bad for the environment. - Because it was so hot, we would have liked to open the windows, but there were no mosquito nets to use. Consequently, a lot of mosquitoes inside the bedrooms. There was an old curtain over the back door to keep out the bugs. There were insect lamps in the kitchen but they were very dirty and 1 did not work. When we gave the tip to put mosquito nets in the doors and windows, the lady said she did not know this and would look into it. - In one of the showers the door was broken and it didn't close properly. You noticed here and there that a tile was missing, a wall was not properly finished, a damp spot in the bathroom, the ventilation in the bathroom did not work or did not work properly, so that you had a feeling of pressure. - The sauna is tiny and didn't work. I read in past reviews that this one didn't work either, so maybe it was never fixed. The owner said it was due to a lightning strike a few days before, but it's strange the rest of the house wasn't affected. - The dishwasher took a long time and started again in the middle of the program, so it was not very reliable and the dishes were often still dirty. - The garden furniture is broken here and there. “Lovely family holiday. A slightly older house with some minor defects, but certainly big enough. In the kitchen everything is there with certainly sufficient cutlery and crockery. Large enclosed garden, fantastic for the dogs and also sufficient for outdoor living with family. in order with good BBQ.Friendly reception with sufficient explanation.”

Not a word of English or Dutch. Handy to know on arrival. Nice things available for the kids. The air hockey was certainly a success. House is in need of a makeover. Everything in the area is a 20min drive. Water, light, and gas calculated afterwards. We had a nice week here.”
