About the holiday home

A beautiful chalet in the heart of Haute Lesse to enjoy a peaceful vacation. Located in Transinne, it comes with a wood stove, private terrace, and boules court for a group of 6 or families to stay.

The nearby forest at 100 m is beautiful and is ideal for a peaceful walk. You can explore the tourist town Saint-Hubert at 7 km, Rochefort at 17 km, and Han/s/Lesse at 17 km. Spend a day with fishing, cycling, and hiking. The Euro Space Center in Transinne at 3 km, the Basilica of Saint-Hubert, and the book town Redu are must-visit attractions. Restaurants are at 1 km and the supermarket is 5 km.

The chalet is pet-friendly and allows 4 pets. It is completely renovated and has a cozy living room with a fireplace and a spacious hallway. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. Keep yourself active with a game of boules. You can spend some idle time in the patio or terrace and enjoy the greenery.

Public transport lies 15 km away.

“The house is much more beautiful in the photo than in reality. It doesn't look maintained. We think the house is in urgent need of a makeover. The house is also not clean. There is dust on cupboards and racks. You see dust nets everywhere and there are many spots on doors, walls and floor. In 2018 they received an excellent certificate! 9.0. It's now 6 years later and it looks like nothing has been done since then, either in terms of freshening up or regular maintenance. For us this is only worth a 6!”

“Is a nice quiet area, what that is about it is good to stay here. House itself may have a makeover, floors and beds creak, which has been indicated a few times by other guests, but nothing has been done about it. Other than that, we're having a good time here.”

“It is a wonderful house: beautifully situated in the hills, has a spacious (fenced!) garden and a sunny south-facing terrace. Our dog loved it. There is much to do in the area. The kitchen has all the necessities and there are even three types of coffee set. The cottage could use a good scrub and makeover, it was cleaned with the French blow and it is a challenge to share 1 toilet and bathroom with 6 adults and the upper floor is not suitable for tall people ....... but that does not outweigh the location of the house and the lovely terrace / garden. We will definitely come back again!”

“The cottage le taimont in transinne in the Belgian Ardennes is a nice place to spend with the family. The house is very cozy, has comfortable furniture, excellent beds and the view over the fields is beautiful. And the fireplace was just very nice. Sufficient wood available to burn against the freezing cold. The location is also excellent for excursions in the area. Can especially recommend Castle Bouillon. Minuses: it is somewhat outdated and the energy costs are correspondingly. It can also be a bit cramped, such as an attic room. And since dog owners seem to come often, there is also dog hair. That Dyson vacuum cleaner is worthless in my opinion. But all in all really recommended and Nicole the owner is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a solid 8 plus I think.”

“We had a wonderful holiday, what a large enclosed space for our dog! We like to go to the Ardennes and found this a very nice part. Unfortunately, due to the heat, we were not able to do all the walks we had in mind so we will most likely go back. We found the house very nice, were with 2 adults and 1 dog. There may be some overdue maintenance, but nothing that made our holiday less beautiful! When receiving and returning the key, we were very kindly helped by Nicolle. We absolutely recommend this house!”

“The cottage is located in a beautiful place in a wide area. House very outdated and something is still missing. Such as: No mosquito netting for the doors and windows, so that it is full of flies and wasps in no time. The full old fly strip was still there. because in the shower an unclear note that it should not be moved. The beds are made of old wooden casing (creaks and squeaks and moves and looks like collapse) and the mattresses are very bad. As for the aging: fridge kitchen got so hot on the inside top that we had to throw away all our bbq meat. Fortunately there was still a fridge in the old annex. In one bedroom a metal plate has been screwed to the floor and when you stepped on it you could feel that the floor underneath was broken. The front door clamps across the floor. Where there is a fly curtain, it is so consumed that the pieces fall off. The shower tray is covered with white adhesive tape which is loose. The sealant seams show mold. The interior doors in the house are very thin and clamp enormously. In the kitchen above the stove are plastic tiles that have melted away. Low old countertop. Everything else was really dirty. There is spinnerag everywhere; walls and ceiling. It was not clean and the only thing you could mop with was a dirty mop stick. A pity to read that these matters have been reported before and that nothing has been done with it, which is why I write this review in such detail. Furthermore, the owner is very nice, the garden is fantastic and the cottage could be a fantastic holiday home with the necessary investments.”

“A location two minutes from the highway but still in peace in nature. For the dogs , the garden is a paradise , very large and completely enclosed . From the cozy terrace a beautiful view of the fields , the garden and the cows . Inside it has everything you need, but the house is in urgent need of a thorough renovation. Also the cleanliness leaves something to be desired , floor very dirty and the cubicle at the back needs renovation . Room with the double bed is outdated and not clean. In short, had a nice holiday with nice walks at a max 15 min by car. Tip = definitely work on cleanliness ..”
