“Nice authentic house, with modern amenities. Just like all houses here, it is clearly visible that it is an older house. Beautiful location, the house is visible from miles away. Quiet location, some overdue maintenance but certainly not a nuisance. It is noisy due to the wooden floors, but if you take that into account, no problem at all. The furnishings and kitchen are good with sufficient pots/pans, etc. Central heating a big 10 and unlimited wood for both stoves. Mattresses a bit sagging Super fun playroom Perfect stay”

“The house has many games options: pool, table tennis, table football. Well enclosed garden, but a rickety fence. The heater was on and the beds were made. The key was at the agreed location, no manager was seen, contact via email which went well. A few Dutch channels on TV. But: many (about 50, I think) fly into the house, according to the owner, because of the countryside and autumn. No mosquito screens. Very noisy house, if you talk upstairs you can almost hear it downstairs. House is not mouse-free, which kept our dogs alert. Curtain for the upstairs bathroom window that you can look right through. You can reach the 3rd bedroom through the 2nd bedroom. The dishwasher works poorly. In the meadows around the house many bulls and howling foxes. Enough space to sit in the room and the kitchen with a large table with chairs.”

“It is a nice farm, but with overdue maintenance. such as the passage to the other piece of garden has grown closed (no way through) from the dining room is a door to a small garden, we could not sit there because it did not look good. The picnic table was broken. we are jeu de boule enthusiasts but that jeu de boule track was not there (it was described that it was there) we did not have small children, fortunately because the climbing toy that was there is life-threatening (slide loose, screws sticking out, holes in the seats of the swings ect ect) outdoor kitchen was a fallen dirty broken barbeque. Inside, the locks in the doors must be fixed, I was locked up. and it should also be mentioned that there are 2 bedrooms together with a door, so no privacy at all. There is plenty to do in and around the house. you can enjoy sports here and walk in the area. The dogs can also roam freely around the house. The garden is well fenced so that the dogs stay on the property. All in all a nice location which invites you to come back in the future !!”

“Very good communication before arrival with the person in charge, and we did find the keys on arrival :) For the rest...several small details surprised/disappointed us upon arrival compared to what we thought to find by seeing the photos: There is a courtyard next to the house where the barn is, where there is the possibility of parking the car, which is nice since the house is between 2 roads (which we noise level, and certainly not at night). The gate should be redone, it is rickety and therefore difficult to open/close, but hey...it's only a detail. Be careful that on the other side of the house, there is a light palisade to close the other small "courtyard" (where there is a white plastic garden table and 4 matching chairs), but that in high winds, that -it falls, because it is not fixed.. ;) Return to the courtyard on the barn side: this is the courtyard where we see a module with slide and swing. When we arrived, when we passed the old gate, we found a rectangle of grass with this module. I think the petanque court was there before, but when we came, just grass (it didn't bother us, even if we had taken our boules with it, I'm just saying this for information). But here, the module was in the hedge all the way to the top, it was so high compared to the photo, difficult for our children to play in it, not to mention the dog poops in the grass ;) So we have never been to this side of the house. And what is shown in the photo as a "garden" resembling an orchard, is actually behind a fence, and cows are resting there ;) On the other side of the house, where there is a small shaded courtyard, there is a small orchard in a triangle, which you can access via an old low wall, avoiding the trees, not necessarily obvious or planned, there is a garden in front of the kitchen window, almost closed on the barn side by the hedge which has grown so much”

“This residence is a converted farm, and therefore also exudes agricultural charm. So don't expect a perfect apartment-like stay, but a rustic house with lots of space. The facilities are largely in order. WiFi, TV, kitchen, and washing machines work perfectly. What bothered me is that the tennis table was unusable (net could not be tensioned), and the billiards is really worn out. The slatted base of 1 of the beds is also completely broken (a bed that we did not use, but you can't even sit on it for a while). We got apple juice as a welcome gift and it was really very tasty. The location is extremely quiet, but also a bit far from all facilities, you have to go to the center of Neufchateau for shopping. All in all, a reasonable holiday home, and an excellent base for walks in the area.”

“The house is superficial, but not in detail. Light buttons, for example, are dirty. The water jets are very weak, so that showering and use of the sink cannot be efficient. The crockery is not great either, everything is different. The dogs can escape, as the gate does not remain closed and small dogs can escape under the other gate at the back door. We are not going to use this holiday home again in the future. It was nice that the fireplace was burning and there was a bottle of tasty apple juice as a welcome.The environment is beautiful.”
