About the holiday home

Elegant, exclusive, and luxurious, this is a 5-bedroom villa in Durbuy, perfect to relax with a large extended family of 10 persons. The villa has a sauna and bubble bath to relax after returning from excursions or day trips.

Durbuy, known as the world's smallest city, is very near to the Ourthe. From here, you can enjoy beautiful walks, bike explorations, and water sports. You can wander in the maze of medieval back streets to take advantage of all its charm. Also, you will find there a huge choice of restaurants, nice terraces, and pretty shops. Golf lovers can hit the little ball at the Durbuy golf course.

On a sunny day, you can enjoy the fresh air on the balcony or roof terrace. Children can spend hours playing safely in the enclosed garden with play equipment. For making the evenings memorable, you have a barbecue in place. A children's bed and a high chair are present for little guests. You can play table tennis, table football, air hockey, and darts in leisure hours.

For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters
It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

“Not luxurious at all. Only 1 towel and bath towel for the entire week. Kitchen linen 1 tea towel. Dining room chairs broken or sagging. Sofa downstairs awful. Can't just sit. Exterior walls are crumbling. Fully heated outdoor barbecue. Wifi was out for a few days. Curtains with rails fell off the wall. Exterior doors unusable 1 did not close properly. Worthless view of the high wall of the tennis hall. Poorly maintained house. Filthy; whole house full of vermin; silverfish everywhere and especially in 2 bedrooms. This house needs to be thoroughly renovated.”

“It can be said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with this holiday. Definitely worth repeating. Everything is clean and it's exactly as we expected. It is useful to contact the owner in advance. We only did that when we were standing in front of the house and then we had to wait a while.”

“Not everything was equally clean, but the house had everything we needed. It was only annoying that we were not aware that there were road works and the street was closed. Fortunately, the location was very close to Durbuy and therefore a perfect base. Communication with the owner was good. Despite a few hiccups, we still had a nice weekend in the Belgian Ardennes.”

“Nice big house, with 5 beautiful bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so that everyone, including our 3-year-old son, had enough space and privacy. The facilities both inside and outside are superb in the large garden/playroom. There is also plenty in terms of facilities. There was only some confusion about separating the waste, and we had no toilet / flushing water the first evening, this apparently comes from rainwater and that barrel was empty .... fortunately quickly resolved the next morning.”

“The house itself is beautiful and spacious. There is more than enough of everything. But everything is dirty. We had to vacuum and put the dishes in the dishwasher before we could use them. Furthermore, the house needs a thorough renovation. The view is gone because a sports hall has been placed right behind the garden.”

“Well located house, nice spacious rooms with very good beds. We enjoyed our family weekend partly because the weather was beautiful and we were able to eat a lot outside because the lounge and dining room is not spacious enough for 10 people. Jacuzzi was dirty !”

“We stayed in the cottage for two weeks with 7 people. Below is an overview of the pros and cons experienced by us; Pros:- There were bigger rooms than expected; in the photos everything seemed smaller in our opinion. - The kitchen also has a lot of work space for cooking together, which is nice with a large group of 7-10 people. There are several ovens and 5 burners that provide enough space. There is also plenty of cutlery and kitchen utensils. Negatives: - General hygiene not in order: not everything clean and in particular the jacuzzi and dishwasher were very dirty. The floor also stuck on arrival and the dryer was slightly dirty. - Jacuzzi: we have partly cleaned it, but there seems to be no possibility (tap/garden hose) to change the water. - Dishwasher: it worked poorly because it was clogged with dirt. We took care of it ourselves with HG and it is now back usable.-The showers do not work properly (little water and lukewarm).The shower at the sauna does not remain upright and can therefore not be used.-One bedroom (above the living room) is very noisy due to the stove pipe from the living room through this bedroom lo opt. - The windows on the ground floor were very bad because of the hinges and locks that do not function properly. As a result, not all windows can be opened and/or closed.”

“Very nice house, everything clean with high-quality furnishings and small defects. Yes the one patio door is stuck, however there are 6 doors so it's not like that's really limiting. Yes the jacuzzi isn't the newest but if you know how it works. Unfortunately, the play equipment in the garage was not treated with care by the guests and you can see and tell that from them. Very nice owners, who were always available by phone and gave us an introduction to the function of the sauna and the whirlpool on the day of arrival. The house is located above Durbuy which can be reached on foot in about 15 - 20 minutes. The area offers many outdoor activities, so if you want to go hiking, cycling, climbing or canoeing, you are in good hands here with a good location in a great house. Without the small flaws, the accommodation would have earned 5 stars, so it's still a good 4 stars. We liked it very much and we would come again.”

“A very nice house in a great location. But… the house was dirty, not or badly cleaned. The sauna is not working, the jacuzzi was turned on with the help of the homeowner. Who we HAD to contact daily by the way !!! maintained because of all kinds of defects in the house. All small things because of overdue maintenance. But the most annoying thing was the broken boiler, really cold showers every day !!! And the problem was not solved. Lots of sweet talk and few actions. And note, a sports hall is being built behind the house. And this construction is in full swing. Not in the photos!”

“Nice and big house. House was clean. Kitchen was in order and stove did its service. There was only an unpleasant smell, but it came from outside. Sauna and Jacuzzi working. We brought our own games and that was good too. Billiard table is outdated and several balls were missing. Also only 1 ball to play table football. After a goal was scored, it remained in the table. Worn darts and other games. Only the ping pong table was in order, but the bats need to be replaced. Also had a nice weekend.”

“Day after arrival we got an email that the jacuzzi was not working. It seems very strong that this was not known beforehand. In addition, it stank enormously in the room where, among other things, the pool table is located. This smell did not go away. Not even after a night with open windows. Finally, the sauna didn't seem to work either. This was impossible to aan.Het house was otherwise just fine. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the fact that we chose a house with a sauna, jacuzzi and play area, but we couldn't use any of them.”

“First impression is good. Large cozy house, plenty of space and equipped with all the necessary things. Location ideal for visiting Durbuy, for example. However, several details deserve urgent attention. Odor nuisance when entering the house. (Comes from the bathrooms -- really not acceptable), Number of things broken in the kitchen (oven), sliding window off the hook and can no longer be operated. Crooked inner door, poorly working shower faucets, Error to jacuzzi ... so house can really be great but needs maintenance. These items should still be in order for an exclusive Belvilla stay.”
