“From 28 October to 1 November we stayed at Villa Bouvet, booked through Belvilla. Unfortunately, during our stay we experienced a series of serious defects and problems that significantly disrupted our stay. We would like to urgently bring these issues to your attention. Ground floor: • Broken glass under the sofa: This posed a major safety risk, especially for children. • Oven did not function properly: This made it impossible to cook properly. • Faulty locks on the outside doors: This meant that we were unable to close the house properly, which made us feel unsafe. • Loose light fixture in the dining room: This was not only annoying, but also dangerous. • Only one working jet in the jacuzzi: This made the jacuzzi virtually unusable. • Sauna door did not close properly: This reduced the ease of use and effectiveness of the sauna. • Mould and moisture problems in the pool area • Missing grille under water in the pool: This led to an injury to a child, which is absolutely unacceptable. • Dirty linen from previous tenants in the hallway: This was extremely unhygienic and unprofessional. First floor (bedrooms and bathrooms): • Small silverfish in all bedrooms, even in the beds: This was particularly disturbing and unhygienic. • Faulty roller blinds in some bedrooms • Moisture and mould problems in the bedrooms • Loose door handles • Non-functioning ventilation in the bathroom Upstairs (recreation room): • Pool table in poor condition and torn sheet: This made playing pool virtually impossible and very disappointing. We are deeply disappointed and indignant about the condition of the house and the many defects we have experienced. These problems have seriously affected our stay and caused us much inconvenience.”

“It was very poorly or not at all cleaned. Dirty toilets, cobwebs between the walls and cupboards/bedside tables, dust on the mirror downstairs in the toilet. Furthermore, the sauna did not work, the hot tub only partially, all radiators had been repaired with adhesive tape and the furniture was worn out. Not worth repeating for us.”

“Villa Bouvet in Villes-Saint-Gertrude was a beautiful location for our family of 8 adults and 4 children + 1 baby. The house was perfect with 6 bedroom campers, each with their own bathroom. And everything is very spacious. And then the indoor swimming pool including jacuzzi and sauna was of course fantastic for all of us. Every day in the pool or jacuzzi. We enjoyed a delicious BBQ in the garden. In short, an unforgettable holiday.”

“We had a nice weekend away. Everything was clean. Unfortunately, a defective oven, so we had to prepare all the sandwiches in a small combination microwave. We needed an extension cord for the gourmet food, which was delivered promptly. In general, the house looks lived in.”

“Great house, the pool and the wellness is lovely. Couple of hikes around and the local brewery has some good tasting beers. Little thing is the WiFi coverage is ground floor and nothing more, the office/conference/playroom has no WiFi at all. Couple of range extenders around the house could do the trick. For the rest beautiful. Towels are by the dozens, beds are good to sleep on, kitchen is well equipped, apart from the oven that's broken but there's another, yet smaller, one available which works fantastic”

“Pros: - A beautiful looking villa upon arrival. - Access to pool and jacuzzi is really great. - Enough towels and they feel clean. - All rooms have a private bathroom. - The view behind the house is fantastic, even with bad weather a beautiful view (the window at the pool is also very nice - you often see cows). - The large refrigerators and freezer - The size of the house, even with our amount of guests (11) everyone can find enough places to sit and you are not crammed together. - The walking area nearby is very nice. - Nicely decorated house. Negatives: - We vacuumed the entire house ourselves upon arrival. It was not clean on arrival. Nails, dust, hair, cobwebs, dead wasps and insects all over the house, cobwebs in every corner of the ceiling. In our opinion, the cleaning staff has had too little time to take care of the house. - Coffee (filter) device did not work, luckily we had one from home. - 1 cooking ring (bottom left) did not work. - Front door lock is broken and therefore it can only be locked from the inside with a key. - The toilet downstairs under the stairs cannot be locked (because a key was missing) - Swimming pool was not clean at all, the water was very dirty (cloudy) and there was a lack of knowledge and skills to solve this. - Several holes and stains in the furniture, a lot of lack of maintenance. - Where you normally don't hope to see the vacuum cleaner on holiday. Was here a vacuum cleaner that barely works. This one needs to be replaced. - The lights outside don't work and several spotlights in the house don't either. - The sauna thermometer is broken. - There were no felt pads under the seats and they make a lot of noise when sliding because they are very heavy seats. - The laundry collection service comes in with its own key, while we were just at home. Kind of strange, they could just ring the doorbell and then we could open the door. - Outside were all beer caps, glass and sig”

“So far a great stay here in the Ardennes. Definitely worth 4 stars. To earn the fifth star, some small dots will have to be put on the I. Such as working lamps, kitchen equipment and perhaps an information folder.”

“The Villa has a lot of potential, but there is too much overdue maintenance, which affects the experience very much. - The ventilation in the swimming pool is not sufficient, this spreads to the hall and living room, resulting in moisture & mold on lamps and ceilings. - The pressure on the pipes is not good, the central heating boiler does not provide enough power to provide all showers & rooms with hot water. The lower & farther away from the CV, the worse & colder it gets. - In terms of cleaning, there is also something to improve, there are dead flies in the lamps, and there are mice droppings on the central heating boiler in the attic. - We spent half an hour trying to get the decoder of the TV working, the batteries of the remote controls turned out to be empty. - The large oven is not very user-friendly and the first two settings do not work properly. The location on a hill is beautiful, but the general impression is that more attention could be paid to restoring the above points. If this were to be resolved, the villa would certainly get more than enough.”

“House looks very nice in the photos, but still needs a few points for improvement. Upon arrival, it was immediately said that the sauna visit did not work, as well as the oven. That is a pity that if you as a landlord know that something does not work, it has not been repaired before the next guests come. Furthermore, the wall is damaged in many places, the sofa really sagging with dust broken, and mold on the walls by the pool. Furthermore, the entire house was not dust-free. There was a lot of reed in the house as well as the edges of the beds, which attracts a lot of dust. Despite everything, we had a wonderful stay and if you are not too critical, I would definitely recommend it. Just the dots on the i were missing”

“Superb, very cozy villa, the spa area: swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna are a real plus! Everything is well heated and very clean. The concierge, very friendly, welcomes you and explains everything to you. Very nice unobstructed view of the garden. The bedding is comfortable, many towels available. A small renovation of the games room upstairs would nevertheless be necessary (billiards, air hockey) as well as some knocks in the walls in general, and the oven in the kitchen does not work. The youth center directly opposite did not bother us. The house is very well insulated. All rooms have a toilet and a bathroom. It is a great place to have a relaxing break.”

“Spacious bedrooms, kitchen and dining area just a bit too tight for +10 people. Dirt on the bottom of the pool, the whole house is not clean, dust webs on ceilings, in corners, etc. It is a pity that there is no roof on the spacious terrace (only 1 not even large parasol. Quiet location, many parking spaces.”

“Beautiful holiday home! Rooms were spacious, all amenities were present. We found the door to the pool very dangerous for small children, because of the stairs immediately behind the door. Er was written close to the shop but it was nowhere to be found! Location was not ideal for us. Also had a lot of noise nuisance by the scouts group right in front of our house ... There was their camping place. We had a nice stay with our family!”

“Spacious bedroom. All amenities in the kitchen. Narrow dining room. Outdated and dusty salon furniture. Swimming pool too cold and dangerous stairs to it. For the rest ok and certainly the very friendly welcome. The whole could use a makeover considering the price/quality ratio.”

“A very nice house with many facilities. A super friendly welcome and also a super friendly goodbye moment. We could indicate how warm the water of the pool and jacuzzi could be. Very well arranged. Seating furniture, cooking, crockery, games widely available. Everything well explained. Super nice area, you can walk or cycle away. Some of us did not like the beds, mattress too hard and the casing is hard and creaky. Furniture in recreation room attic is old and broken, but we were not bothered by that. We would have appreciated some tourist information in the cottage itself. The guests sleeping upstairs reported dust and cobwebs. I have not seen it. We have broken 2 pieces of crockery, it was not difficult to do. Washbasin in bathroom looks nice, but water does not drain well and the tap is too close to the washbasin. We had a super nice time.”

“Overall this is a good stay. For us, however, there were a number of negatives: - Beds are very hard and creak terribly due to the material from which they are made - Too much chlorine in the jacuzzi - Dryer did not work - Lamp in the sauna did not work - At 6 o'clock in the morning they turned on the gas Deliver- Fire alarm went off at a completely random moment If these things got any better we would definitely go back”
