“Are these holiday homes actually checked before they can be rented out via Belvilla? People book through the beautiful photos that are shown on the site, but these do not always show the environment as it looks in reality. This booking was consequently a total failure. Only broken and contaminated items are made available, such as: - Dirty leaking toilet. When flushing, the water comes out of the tube - Mold and rust in the shower cubicle and water runs out of the cubicle onto the tiles - Moldy carpet next to the shower cubicle - Broken sink in bathroom - Huge mold on the bedroom ceiling - Mold on the roof of the terrace - Unclean oven with dirty burnt oven plates - Moldy lamp in kitchen - Scratched hob and scratched kitchen pans - Broken/worn kitchen utensils - Broken electricity connections - Stained bedroom goods (duvet) - Cobwebs on the indoor garden chairs - And worst of all: mouse poison in the kitchen and patio cupboard And that way we can fill another whole day. In addition, when booking, the customers also have to pay for cleaning, although it is clearly not carried out. If needed, I have the photos available on this; Mvg Evelien Bruynooghe”

“A very brief information round when we got into the house. The cottage should be renovated. The living room was ok, but on the walls and ceilings were humid spots. The shower was old-fashioned and should be modernised. We couldn't let the dog outside, because there was a broken fence. The living room was reasonable, in one of the closets, there was food (potatoes) still left from the previous tenants.”

“The house was delivered clean. Things like a toilet roll, garbage bags and herbs were already ready for us on arrival. Despite the fact that the owner lives above us and the building next to us is an office, we were not bothered by anything and our privacy was respected. good bbq in the garden that we could use and the view from the garden was beautiful.”

“Positive points: spacious (including 2 large bedrooms), very comfortable (including lots of kitchen equipment), enclosed garden with comfortable garden furniture, beautiful view, very quiet location, cool living room in warm weer.Negatieve points: only downside we found the cleanliness, the cottage was very dirty when we arrived.”

“this is not a holiday home but an apartment, one is completely surrounded by the owner and his company, no private digital TV did not work so to speak regional problem, no TV all week the internet was bad only in one place, in the veranda the maintenance of the apartment can better several small defects no smoke detectors present in one room moisture traces on the ceiling, garden does not correspond to the photos is not a private garden of the holiday home,”

“The cottage was good but there was actually nothing to do there, we had to go 8 km further, no shops, nothing to eat”

“Cottage is located on the edge of Hompre. Is an extension between the house and the barns of the company. As a result, a surprising layout, sometimes somewhat provisional, but everything is there. Two (very) spacious bedrooms with sink, living room and complete kitchen. Small office with all kinds of brochures from the area, bathroom and conservatory. In addition, a private fenced garden, with lots of sun ☀️ but also places with shade. You can make beautiful walks in the area, and you are in Bastogne in no time. Highly recommended, especially with a dog.”

“The house is part of a building that also houses a company (of verandas), this gives no holiday feeling at all. When entering the house, scented candles were burning everywhere and it was quickly clear why: it smelled very very musty and damp, on the ceiling in the bedroom there were large rings of moisture. The bathroom was very small and there too it smelled and the shower was dirty (with mold). The worst was yet to come, because "at night we heard mice over it ceiling of our bedroom. This cottage is definitely a big setback.”

About the holiday home

Unique location in the heart of Vaux-sur-Sûre for nature lovers. Private and relaxing place in the middle of nature and a paradise for those looking for fun activities such as horseback riding, hiking or cycling in the unadulterated nature.

Chateau de Losange lie within a couple of miles and dates back to 18th century, which is a sight to behold amid the dense forest. Possibility of fishing in a pond 900 m from the cottage will be a new experience.
Possibility of wonderful walks in wild trails or ""ravel"" trails on foot or by bike. Supermarket and restaurant can be reached after a drive away. Luxembourg border is closeby so you can tour and score on the landscape there as well.

This pleasant cottage has a beautiful living room, spacious furnished terrace and large garden to score on quiet, peace and nature. Playroom with toys and party games will keep the children hooked. Sun-loungers will award you with an exotic tan when the sun is up. BBQ will add to the pleasant evenings and there is parking space in front of the door.
