About the holiday home

Welcome to Ucklum - 7km from Stenungssund and day distance to the coastal islands of Tjörn and Orust. Here you can choose to swim either in the lake or salt baths by the sea. The cottage is located on the owner's plot with lovely views of meadows and pastures all around. The cottage has a lovely terrace at the front with lounge furniture and umbrella for cozy days and evenings, and if you prefer to sit in the shade there are alternatives also at the front with nice cafe.It is a combined living room with bedroom where there is a sofa bed with lovely mattresses - 160cm and a bunk bed (70 * 160) - suitable for children or shorter adults.

Separate kitchen with room for 2 people to snack. A nice fireplace to cook in if it gets a little rougher days. The heart of the house is the enormously lovely sauna and a huge bathroom with toilet, sink, shower and a small hard plastic bath.

From the cottage you can easily drive to Bastevik's bathing area in Hällungen where there is a lovely sandy beach with jetty and jumping tower. It is very popular with both tourists and locals. Stenungssund is not far from here and there is a large Galleria with everything from clothing stores such as H&M to restaurants, cafes, ice cream, today's catch in the fish shop to cozy moments on the dock at the guest harbor. Orust and Tjörn's activities and well-visited tourist destinations can easily be reached from the cottage.

If you are interested in fishing, Svartedalen's nature and outdoor area is very close to the cabin. It is one of western Sweden's largest contiguous coniferous forest areas. It is a sea-rich mountain landscape where the coniferous forest dominates. The area is associated with a variety of activities such as outdoor activities, sport fishing, hiking, swimming, mushroom and berry picking, orientation etc. The Bohus Trail passes through Svartedalen.

About the area

About Stenungsund

West coast Bohuslän Warm cliffs, red boat houses, perfect fishing places, water sports and exciting tourist attractions are just some out of many experiences that Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast can offer you. There are a lot of activities for families with children. For instance you can visit an amusement park or a zoological park, exciting fortresses or museums where you can explore and experience.

Bohuslän has its own beautiful archipelago. Go visiting the Koster islands in the northern part of Bohuslän where you can enjoy the beautiful nature on your rented bicycle. You can also travel by boat to Bohuslän from Strømstad, a nice town, especially during the summer.

Sotenäs municipality consists of both large and small communities. Smögenbryggan is the most famous tourist attraction in the area. People from near and far come in order to see the lively boat traffic, shop in the stores and enjoy a nice meal in the cosy restaurants nearby.

Lysekil is situated in the outermost part of the boat harbour, and even if you stay in the centre of the town, the water and the boats are always quite near. A walk in Gamlestan is also worth experiencing.

The Skaftø peninsula is now known as the “salt island”, Saltøen, thanks to the Swedish television series of the same name. Picturesque places like e.g. Fiskebäckskil, Grundsund and Rågårdsvik are all well-attended in the summer.

At Törn and Orust there are nice bays and a beautiful nature. There are a lot of boats, and from Tjörn into the archipelago you can go on different boat trips. The short distance to Göteborg makes a day trip to Liseberg perfect.
