“Great holiday stay in a TOP location. With the help of the hostess Maria and her husband it was easy to find. Maria regularly inquired whether everything was still satisfactory. The bungalow met our expectations and was as described. Spacious, clean and well cared for/maintained. Highly recommended! The Vélez-Malaga region and the nearby beaches are also recommended.”

“We had a very nice holiday in this holiday home last March. The view was great from the terrace and the house is a great base. We liked the villa and had everything you need for a pleasant stay. to the villa. The last part to the villa is indeed over a steep road but is fine to do. It takes some getting used to the first time but in the end no problem, it is recommended not to rent the smallest model car. It was in during our stay unfortunately too cold to make extensive use of the pool, but we will definitely come back again”

“To enjoy the beautiful view you have to drive up a steep mountain. The first time Maria drives ahead. Then it went quickly. No problem for us. We enjoyed the house and the environment immensely. In Arenas and in Torre del Mar we could eat cheaply every day. But the kitchen in the house is also more than well equipped for cooking. A nice lounge set on the terrace, a gas barbecue, a fireplace ... Everything was there to call our romantic holiday a success. We will definitely come back to enjoy the summer temperatures and are happy to pass this address on to friends!”

“This nice house is beautifully situated with a fantastic view. We enjoyed the peace here. And yet there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The house is very practically furnished. Thus, each room has its own bathroom. The house is not super modern, but everything a couple or a family needs is there. Plus you live outside! Good internet connection and TV Vlaanderen are nice in the winter months if you have to be inside anyway. The house was clean and the mattresses good. Price quality, this house certainly deserves a 10/10 for us.'”

“The view from the house was very nice, it is quiet but also isolated. The driveway to the house was very adventurous ... the inside of the house was not very well maintained and the beds were unreasonable, thanks to the mattresses from the children's bunk bed that we put on the beds, we were able to sleep comfortably. The pool was ok, but also getting on in years, there were plastic beds without cushions .. In the outside area there are several large tables where you could have breakfast and eat comfortably ... It is advisable to take mosquito repellant with you as there were a lot of mosquitoes ...”

“We were driven through a steep road to the holiday. What I had read beforehand in the news had frightened me, but this was certainly an exaggeration. Super nice house, owners have really provided everything. Enough bath and bed linen, and very clean house! A big compliment to Lindsey, you can ask her everything, we received a lot of information about the area, restaurants and the like and she is always available. A big thank you to Lindsey!”

“Not only pleasant, but especially necessary that we were met by the manager of the house and that it drove ahead of us. The road to the house is one that not everyone will dare to drive! Steep, narrow, uneven, big chance of oncoming traffic and not really good for your car. With fear of heights this road is a big problem. The house was reasonable, but as far as the design and equipment are concerned, this deserves some attention. And it was not really clean. The area is beautiful.”

“In itself an ideal location (relatively short to coast, shops, beautiful view, quiet location) but for us the steep access road was an obstacle for the evening when it is dark to come back The kitchen was well equipped (also useful that there what stock of spices, coffee, ...) Normally there was for each of us only 1 large and 1 small bath towel provided for 2 weeks which is really too little.Very luck there was a dishwasher.The mattresses were of lesser quality and the pillows and duvets we found some dirty .. But we especially enjoyed the peace, the pool and terrace with beautiful views!”

“A beautiful view. The last 400 meters are idd steep. It was not so much the first climb that was difficult because then the person from whom we got the key drove. So we just had to follow. The hardest time was the 2nd because then there was a bit of doubt as to how the road was going and I had to go back on the driveway of another villa to be able to leave again (we had a van for 9 people). But all the next time it was best to do it. You would say goodbye. Especially because someone was deeply afraid of us and sitting in the head between the knees while driving up (as a passenger and not as a driver).”

“House is in order, blissful pool area top.Enkel we are not satisfied with the local contact. When declaring aircon that did not work in the bedroom and water that was almost up, we get no response from the contact site. We should then contact the owners (who are not in Andalusia). These include yourself in contact with locally. But we hear nothing of the contact. 2nd day after the water is still replenished at night. Holiday vacation guest would not have to be concerned with texting or sending emails and calling subscriber to see whether he has been receiving our messages and ask for feedback. When these troubles persist returning home from vacation. The guarantee is after 4 weeks (2x and after contact with the owner) still noet tetugbetaald (although everything was all right when leaving the house). Again. Bin contacting the owner, this very understanding and helpful and makes it immediately necessary and co tact honors their local contact at once. But we must report a 2nd time that the deposit was refunded us yet. We recommend to provide the owners with another contact to pl”

“We may spend 2 weeks in July 2016 in Casa Martijo. The house is beautifully situated on a hill where you can see the sea at Torre del Mar. The terrace and pool area were very beautiful and to bring the necessary cooling in a place where it (especially in the afternoon) can be very hot. The road is going as other reviews indicate a problem. A high car here is still recommended, but after riding a few times to have it's actually not specified more (even at midnight) .The house is complete, but simply furnished. Many things have me believe it to be replaced, also witnessed the break up of one air-conditioning unit. This was adequate for a few days later replaced, allowing our guests have had to sleep for several days without air conditioning. We also have one day had no running water. Tricky, but this same evening repaired by the administrator. All in all a great holiday in Casa Martijo.”

About the holiday home

This spacious villa, all on one floor, is quietly located in the municipality of Arenas. The villa is suitable for a maximum of 6 adults and 2 small children. It has 3 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and the villa has a beautiful private swimming pool. It is located high on a mountain with beautiful views to the Mediterranean Sea.
For a refreshing dip, jump into the large private swimming pool. To top it all, the beach of Torre del Mar is only a 20 min drive from here. The home is equipped with numerous board games and WiFi.

Arenas are also the ideal starting point on the way to both relaxation and culture. Cities such as Malaga (endless terraces, beautiful dike and beach), Granada (Old town, Alhambra), Seville and Cordoba (Mezquita is an absolute must) can be visited with a day trip. Sports and games on the beach of Torre del Mar or in the aqua paradise 7 km away. The picturesque Nerja and Frigiliana are only half an hour away! The last 700 m to Casa Martijo is a steep tarmac road up to the house.

This home is safe for small kids as it is fenced and without any stairs. In the garden house beach equipment.
