“The location is very nice and good. The cottage is very clean but there is only 20 amps of electricity and you have to heat everything with electric heaters but then you also have to be careful that you do not set up the kettle at the same time as the heating. Furthermore, there is only just enough hot water so that 1 person can wash and be quick because after 5 minutes the hot water is gone and also make sure that you only turn on 1 lighting and 1 heating, otherwise the power will go out. The next person has the chance to wash an hour later, then there is hot water again. The cottage is very nice in the spring and summer but not really suitable for renting out in the winter, although that can be adjusted by providing more power. There is a basket with logs, but when this is gone you have to pay 10 euros per basket and this is already used after 1 evening in February. It took about 3 days before it was pleasantly warm inside. Furthermore, everything is provided although we missed a warm duvet, there is only a thin duvet and a narrow molton that is too small for a large bed. Beds are good and big enough. It is a pity that it is not stated in advance that you have to juggle with the flow if you say this to the owner, she only says that she has told you on arrival. Indeed, upon arrival, if I had known this in advance, I would not have booked in the winter. In the summer I would definitely book it because it is such a beautiful location. All in all had a nice stay.”

“The house is as described on the web. The location is ideal to be in a quiet place, but at the expense of the urban area of Palafrugell and the beaches of Calella i Llafranc. The house is surrounded by trees, olive groves, plants and the finca farm and a small forest. The interior is simple but offers everything that is necessary in an environment of holidays. La Maria, the owner, is a charming person always attentive to your needs. On the next week he will be able to send all the robberies of llit, bany and cuina. Neteja status, impeccable, and excellent wifi. It has been an exceptional experience and we hope to repeat it.”

“It started with a warm welcome by the owner Maria, with lots of useful information about the area. The house was cozy and equipped with all comforts, great bed and a great terrace with a wide view over the countryside. It is a five minute drive from the nice place Parafrugell and from the beach (is also fine to walk away). There is much to see in the vicinity and there are many nice restaurants and shops. The owner was very welcoming and helped us very well with all the questions we had.We had our two dachshunds with us and they had a lot of space and enjoyed the large garden. We had a fantastic week in La Barraca!”

About the holiday home

This cosy 1-bedroom home in Palafrugell for 4 people is located in a woodland only 1.5 km from the beach. At the Llafranc beach, you can hire bicycles, paddles, kayaks, and boats without a licence.

Swimming and snorkelling enthusiasts will love it here. Each beach as a diving centre and there are clearly marked sea lanes. The town of Palafrugell, where the home is located, has several wonderful museums you might like to visit. It also has a quaint Sunday morning market. Restaurants, supplies, and nightlife can be found in a 1.5 km radius.

The home is child-friendly and provides a high chair and children's bed on request. There are also party games and toys. You can bring up to two pets free of charge. There is also a camping cot and hammock available. The garden is private and the home provides a barbecue.

The Girona airport is 50 km away.
