“We had a wonderful holiday. The location of the house was very central, so you could get anywhere pretty quickly. The reception by Caterina was polite and hospitable, and we were shown the ropes through the translation by Giovanni over the telephone. The house has all the comforts, but a washing machine would be useful for people who are there longer, like us. The garden is beautiful and it is wonderfully quiet. We had suggested a slightly earlier departure because we wanted to drive back to the Netherlands in one day, and that was resolved in good consultation.”

“The holiday home is sober but tastefully furnished. A washing machine and a couple of comfortable sun loungers might be a welcome addition. The location is an excellent base for visiting nearby beautiful places in the area (such as Lazise, Bardolino, Sirmione). The owner is hospitable and helpful on arrival and during your stay.”

“Hello, Giovanni is very nice and attentive but his house is noisy because it is close to the road and near a chicken coop. In addition, it is not very well equipped, there is no washing machine or dishwasher ( I hadn't paid attention to the description. In addition, the dishes are a little tight: no wine glass, no spritz glass which is a shame in Italy. The house is damp but clean and true to the description given. Do not forget to bring your salt, pepper, oil, vinegar because the cupboards are empty (we can not blame Giovanni). Lake Garda is 10 or 15 minutes by car and it is a marvel.”

“For starters, an assessment depends on your frame of reference. The house conforms to the description. It is spacious with large garden. Clean, everything is there (except wine glasses), good wifi, good hot water for showering. Breathes atmosphere. Decor, sanitary facilities and furniture are in the 70s style, so old. What don't like; it would be a quiet place, but the noise from the highway and other roads is permanently present. No silence with crickets but car noise with crickets. My garden at home in the inner city is quieter. Finally, good to know: in August it is difficult to find a good swimming spot at the lake. The coast is occupied by campsites. “Wir (zwei befreundete Pärchen) wollten im Mai ein paar schöne Tage am Gardasee verbringen und stießen dabei auf die wunderbare Casa Pastrengo. Die Fotos auf der Website haben uns schön überzeugt, aber die Wirklichkeit war dann noch besser. Es ist kein anonymes Ferienhaus, sondern man merkt, dass hier eine Familie mit viel Liebe zum Detail ein zweites zu Hause eingerichtet hat. Allein schon bei Angeise der wirklich großen und gepflegten Gartens vermittelte ein Gefühl von Urlaub und als wir über die Schwelle traten .... wie daheim. Eingang führt in ein urgemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Terracottafliesen und Kamin (haben wir nicht ausprobiert), einer bequemen Couch und einem Schaukelstuhl. Die Küche ist sehr sauber und voll funktionstüchtig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Kochen braucht. Hinter dem Haus gibt es sogar einen Grill und so konnten wir sogar einen schönen Grillabend machen. Es war einfach traumhaft jeden Tag auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken, auch wenn die Küche genug Platz für vier oder mehr Personen bietet. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen und die Nachbarn spürt man hier garnicht, so dass wir ganz für uns waren. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und das Haus ist sehr gut isoliert und nicht hellhörig. Es sind genug Schränke vorhanden, sodass man auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt genügend Stauraum hätte. Das Badezimmer war auch sehr sauber. Top ist auch die Lage der Casa Pastrengo. In wenigen Fahrminuten ist in Lazise und mitten im Geschehen. Lazise ist ein wunderschöner Ort am Gardasee mit einer mittelalterlichen Festungsmauer und vielen netten kleinen Geschäften und tollen Restaurants direkt am See. Ins Valpolicella Gebiet ist es auch nur ein Katzensprung und wir konnten dort sehr guten Wein kaufen. Für uns steht fest wir haben unser Ferienhaus für die Zukunft gefunden und können es wärmstens weiterempfehlen!”
