“The cottage in nature fully met our expectations. We were very kindly welcomed by the host, who also spoke Dutch. There was a local beer card and a box of chocolates. The host was very helpful yet very discreet. The house is located in a beautiful region surrounded by nature. There is a very nice garden with a pond. You can do many walks and the immediate vicinity. It is a paradise for bird watchers. We have spent a very pleasant week. An unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!”

“A beautiful and very peaceful environment. The cottage is a bit small, but clean, fully furnished and the windows are fitted with mosquito nets. The owner is very friendly and speaks enough Dutch in addition to French to communicate with. We really enjoyed our stay at Roly.”

From the cottage you can take wonderful walks through the rolling countryside. Birdwatchers will also get their money's worth (ask the host about it!) Definitely recommended!”

“Great Gte with all the comforts that entails. Great welcome by Daniël with a bottle of local beer and a box of chocolates! Absolutely great !! Wonderfully quiet location for a week to fully relax. The WiFi reception was only good if you sat outside on the terrace. A WiFi extender to extend the range inward would be a plus. Furthermore, had a wonderful holiday!”

“A wonderful holiday home. You notice that the owner rents this out with a lot of love. We stayed here during the Christmas holidays and there was a Christmas tree, there was Christmas lights and decorations, which made it extra cozy. On the first floor you also have a very nice terrace just under the roof. In addition, there is a very large garden that you can enjoy (especially when it is warmer). The house is nice and tidy and the owner is happy to help you with more information about hiking routes, villages to visit ... Highly recommended!”

“The cottage is nicely decorated and immaculate. It is quite small, but big enough for a couple (with possibly a small child, which we did not have, so we could use a cold room as a storage place for food and drink and walking supplies). The house is near the house of the owners, but that did not bother at all. The two houses are located in a beautiful, large garden, with several terraces, some private for the residents of the cottage. The whole is completely at the end, as the last occupation, in a quiet street (with very occasional, through traffic that sometimes drives very fast) and a beautiful view of meadows, fields and forests. The beautiful Calestienne and, a bit further, the Namur Ardennes are nearby. In the beginning of February we made some beautiful, and even a bit adventurous (including a narrow and very muddy forest path through wild forest, everywhere traces of wild boar, a very nice encounter with a fox, a glimpse of a deer, buzzards, kestrels, great egrets. , etc) walks. The cafe in Dailly is a must for those who love the pub atmosphere in the 50s, and beer lovers can visit the brewery of Super des Fagnes in Mariembourg, and, a little further, of course Chimay. The owners are very friendly and correct. In our opinion a successful long weekend, and an address that we remember.”

Welcome to this 2-bedroom cottage, which lies in the heart of the Belgian countryside in Roly (Philippeville) near the ancient Forests of Ardennes. On the roofed terrace, you can enjoy delicious home-cooked meals and a cozy barbecue in the evenings. It is suitable for 2 people, be it family members, a couple, or friends.

The surroundings offer quiet, rest, relaxation, and well-being to travelers. You can go for lovely walks, hikes, and cycle tours in the nearby forest. Restaurants and supermarkets are in the town center 5 km away.

This cottage has organic construction principles to promote the use of natural materials and a relaxed atmosphere that logically encourages rest and a certain form of well-being. If you love tranquillity and a good book, the private furnished garden offers plenty of space. Children will love playing in the sandpit and with the play equipment.
