“The house is beautiful and fully furnished and you can enjoy immediately (there is toilet paper, kitchen roll, dishwashing products, kitchen towels) and it is clean. There is a separate storage room for the waste (sorted). We think the house is perfect for 6 but not for 8 people. We sat on the terrace all week, but in bad weather it is too tight inside (table is for 6). In the kitchen you have an electric fire and a fridge that is too small. We brought our own grill and griddle and so we could eat all 8 at the same time. The attic room is a sauna (we had good weather!), there is an air conditioning that does help but it makes a lot of noise. The beautiful brown seat is covered with a bedspread because the seat is completely worn out. The garden furniture is not comfortable and urgently needs to be replaced, chairs and table have been repaired several times but still fall apart. We tore two rugs. Unfortunate! Although there was only 1 bathroom, it was not that bad. Very nice shower and sufficiently spacious. The owner lives next door and you share the garden, but there is a camera pointed at you. We didn't like that feeling! By the way, the camera is facing the terrace where we sat all week. The lack of privacy bothered us. There are bicycles available, but you have to pay for them when you are there! We brought our own bicycles, not our company. The house is right on the canal where you can enjoy cycling. We also went for a walk (nature point) and go kayaking on the Dommel. Recommended. Finally swam in Lago. In the house you will find a lot of information and brochures. The owner is friendly and always available and helpful. We have already rented many houses and we think this one is too expensive for what it is.”

Recording activities and restaurants for a day in advance is a must - especially during Corona times. The location, the accommodation, the friendly owners and the potential of activities and catering options, combined with a humorous and committed company of end-of-year students, guarantees an unforgettable stay in Limburg, where history is not shunned. All that remains for me to mention is one soyant detail, namely that although the Limburg language is very fascinating and inviting, it will (as always) never be able to compete with West Flemish. ;)”

The area is perfect for a stay with children or friends to start cycling and hiking when you get out the door. The nearby Klankenbos is an attraction in itself. Bakery, butcher, supermarket within walking distance.”
